Fabulous and immaculate grounds but the apartment was tired, furniture stained and ripped and sofa had zero support. Very disappointed. Apartment was tired and dull. Website stated continental breakfast was included but we were rudely informed that it wasn’t with the apartment.

The grounds and the views were spectacular . The swimming was out of order for four days , the arcade was dirty with old equipment ( glasses and food wrappers left from Sunday evening ) . We went on the Wednesday just after it opened . No one ever at the bar . Our room was not ready on arrival even though it was a late 5 pm check in . In need of a refurbishment in certain areas , however our lodge was very comfortable / clean and the staff were lovely

Beautiful property in a stunning location with amazing view. Swimming pool was out of order for nearly a week. Super disappointing. Food was great but evening meals were very expensive.

The location was beautiful. The staff at Mc Donald Forest Hill were not welcoming at the reception desk. The staff at the Garden Restaurant had no customer service skills and were not friendly. The main restaurant was empty when we wanted to have lunch at 12 pm.however we were told it’s ‘all booked”.we had to have lunch in the lobby lounge. The pool table was very poor quality and the swimming pool was not working the length of our stay.

Relaxing break with grandchildren.
-
the apartment, swimming facilities, the grounds, and the leisure area. we had 3 children with us and didn't find the restaurant menu very child friendly. As a consequence we went into Aberfoyle to eat.

- beautiful location - spacious units - outdoor gardens are amazing - cleanliness: most furniture is old; and there are hygiene concerns eg rats in the lobby of the main hotel - value for money: ridiculously expensive for a facility that isnt well maintained (despite its amazing location)

The room was a great size and the bathroom with the tub was so fun with our toddler, but the bed wasn't super comfortable and the room was pretty warm.
