La Terrazza

Federico and his Mum were great hosts. Their place is spotless and comfortable. The location is lovely and quiet, set between two towns within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and served on the terrace with breathtaking sea views. Federico went above and beyond with helping us rent a car and advising of places to visits/routes to drive which was much appreciated. Highly recommend La Terrazza!! This really didn't matter but perhaps a smart TV in the room?! We wouldn't mark the place down for that though!

The help with excursions, giving me names of people to contact and help when there was an issue being picked up from the hotel. The view from the breakfast room is stunning. The rooms were clean. There was hardly any choice for breakfast - it was just sugary pastries. The majority of the time there was no English spoken, which is fine because I speak Italian, but it was criticised and corrected. Always made to feel in the wrong. Be aware that you always need to call the owners if anything is needed. It wasn't pleasant when the first thing I was told, before even saying good morning, on the last day was that I had 30 mins to leave. Perhaps it was me they didn't like! They will be pleased to know I won't be returning.

Comfortable room. Breakfast is taken on the covered terrace with a superb view over the sea. A short walk along the promenade to cafes and restaurants.

Exceptional

Frederico was very helpful in arranging our days. Showing us the best ways to explore the local cities. A very friendly and helpful person View from the terrace/communal balcony is exceptional. Location of the property is excellent. Very strict rules. Hat must be worn in the pool even if just dipping your feet in. I got told off for walking the 2 seconds journey from the poolside to my room without a top on (I'm a male). Felt like I was getting told off at school. Not a relaxing atmosphere. My partner got told off for not wearing a swim hat when only her feet were in the pool. Breakfast was very repetitive, melon everyday and the same sweet snacks/bread. It was nice at first but got old quickly. This is only a minor complaint, overall we did still enjoy breakfast. Owners hosted a very noisy party on one of our nights. Felt like we couldn't be in/around the hotel for the day/evening as they were preparing, despite having paid! We had planned to relax by the pool for the day but we couldn't and this was our final day so this was disappointing. It was exceptionally loud into the night too. Room was an awkward shape, it wouldn't fit opening our suitcases fully. We would've liked an iron in our room. There is one hairdryer to be shared across all of the rooms! Luckily we brought our own. Room was very noisy. The main door is just a sliding door so you can hear everything happening outside of your room. There is zero sound proofing, you will hear everything happening in the BnB. The bar was closed the entire time - this was disappointing as was a key feature for why we booked this hotel. There was no prior warning the bar would not be open. We had hoped to be able to have cocktails by the pool! They managed to have a bar for there own private party though... Overall I think the price we paid and the high score for the property meant we had higher expectations but felt a little let down. We still had a lovely holiday but just wished the owners would relax the rules a little bit and put there guests first. It really did feel like we were intruding on somebody's home rather than being in a relaxing BnB.

Lovely family run B&B. Great sea view. Access to the family pool. Bus stop nearby that will take you to Catania town. Federico was very responsive to any questions we had, they let us store our luggage after checkout and also borrow their towel for the beach as we weren’t leaving until late afternoon. The Terrazza Bar wasn’t open at all and it was one of the reasons we booked the place. More variety for breakfast would be great; some eggs, ham would be a good option.

Gorgeous little B&B overlooking the sea! The view from the breakfast room/balcony was just breathtaking. The room was clean and comfortable. And the family that run this B&B are so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was really nice too. The coffee was good and there was a mix of pastries, fresh fruit and savoury sandwiches. I really appreciated they prepared a special fruit bowl for me because of my allergy. The location is handy if you're interested in visiting both Aci Castello and Aci Trezza as it's between both places and a short walk to both. If you want to visit Catania, there is a bus stop literally a one minute walk from the B&B. The bus to the city was a very quick journey as well. We were here off season, but I'd say in the summertime this place would be even more amazing to stay at with pool and bar open I couldn't say a bad thing

Comfy b and b in beautiful location with great views of Aci Castello and Aci Trezza, right on the seafront. Well looked after by Frederico and his mum. He will gladly help with any information about the area, things to do, and will book them for you. Good breakfast, mainly bread and pastries, but Frederico will provide eggs, cereals and yoghurts on request . Lovely pool area and garden, but as we went early in the season the pool was not full. Fabulous terrrace overlooking the sea to sit out and enjoy the view.

The view was spectacular and the property was quite lovely. The staff, or rather the family that run the property are also very charming. We will 100% come back. Could use better pillows, fluffier.

Very happy to stay here, it was lovely to meet their family and have a wonderful experience of living in such a beautiful place. Very clean, attentive and caring, with friendly communication and a family atmosphere. It was calm, cosy, and quiet, amazing sea view from the terrace and room - exactly what I needed. Thank you! I will be happy to stay again and will recommend to friends. Nothing to mention — everything I asked for or needed was there. Happy to stay again.
