Everything was wonderful, better than expected

Units near lake area are great location with own beach area but couldn’t use one day due to private event happening. Units are mix of updated and not! So can be old looking or updated by the owners. Overall clean just some updating needed by some owners!

The stay was wonderful. There are a lot of amenities to take advantage of. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars was because they only offered breakfast buffet when we were there and it wasn’t much better than what you get at the hotels that offer free breakfast…and it was $25/pp.

There is a shuttle to the main resort but sure how late it ran.

Overall an okay resort with amenities if you are coming with kids . The hotel had weird smell to it ( smoky) there were also fruit flies everywhere and in cafe . Didn’t feel the resort was clean . Asked front desk about breakfast option and she told me just to look at brochure given at check in ( was not friendly) . Restaurant at top was very nice and offered good brunch!

Took the family up north to Traverse City for the weekend to enjoy a little mini pre-school vacation. When I reserved the room, I upgraded for the "golf view" but the supposed golf view room we got on the 5th floor literally overlooked the parking lot, if I reserved a regular room obviously whatever but I paid an extra for the upgrade and after calling the front desk to complain and wasting 10-15 of going back and forth they finally moved us to the 14th floor with a way better view. Everything else about the hotel was good. Would I stay here again, maybe if I we took advantage of more of the amenities but we were out sight seeing most of the time and you're 15-20 mins from a lot of the places we ended up at in the downtownish area.

Room was excellent, food on site was ok. Showers are the fancy rain showerheads with very low water pressure that takes twice as long to do anything defeating the purpose of low flow.

The condo was nice. It was nice having separate living quarters from the sleeping quarters The advertisement said it was beachfront property and it was not.
-
Bummed that when we booked our room since we had 3 in a room it put us in a condo which was off the resort. So we didn’t have any of the amenities. Wish there was a note or something that stated that these condo rooms were off site. The pull out bed was very thin so needless to say our daughter did not sleep well. No ice maker near by and had to call to some. Room was very dated.

Everything was great Every floor the vending machine was out of water
-
Amenities were great including the lot for RV's and boats; Better to have a lower cost breakfast available.
-
The place was a nice place, the hidden fees after booking through Expedia a $21 nightly fee equaling over $40 is ridiculous especially after paying over $500 for two nights.
-
The resort is top notch! We enjoyed the shops & restaurant at the Towers. Along with renting a boat down on the beach. Used the shuttle between both areas several times throughout our stay. Will definitely go back.
