Beautiful modern hotel in Ahrenshoop. Spacious rooms, excellent facilities, good restaurant and bar, just a few steps from the beach and the towncenter. Perfect for a relaxing luxury weekend (or more). Only one small caveat: the curtains in the rooms are rather delicate and let in a lot of light, so in summer it’s fairly bright daylight in the room early in the morning. Bring an eyemask if you need darkness to sleep longer.

Breakfast, room and view exceptional. Quiet, open and bright place. The staff was very friendly. The distance to the beach and to the village was walking distance. We didn't like the fact that hotel staff constantly addressed us as "YOU". We prefer to use the formal term of address. This took away some of our privacy, which we would have liked to have at certain times.

Grand is a posh hotel in a beautiful village directly at the Baltic see. The location is excellent, the rooms are large enough and convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The spa area (including pool, sauna and fitness) are excellent. The hotel has two restaurants, a more expensive one with excellent food and outstanding vines, and a normal one (which we did not like much). Breakfast is very good. The hotel is becoming a bit old and needs renovation and redesign to meet the expectations and justify the prices. Some details are minor but still irritating: electric sockets for a telephone or computer are missing, one has to unplug the lamp to charge the phone. The sofa and armchairs are extremely inconvenient and hard. There is no coffee/tee machine in the room. The content of the bar is ridiculous, of course nobody touches it. The yellow wall paper is completely outdated for a modern hotel. But probably the most irritating experience is the restaurant/cafe: the menu is extremely limited, never changes and the quality is not good. Another problem, which I think is a management mistake, is to address hotel guests using the German "du", rather than "Sie". This is rather irritating when the guest is 60+ and is never addressed like that.

Love this property, will stay again. I have noticed a lack of minor furnishings: there were no hooks in the bathroom for the bathrobe, no bathtub handle and no reading light above the bed.

The staff was cordial, breakfast was top shelf. Excellent views and a balcony almostas big as my apartment. Dog friendly.

Fabulous location, excellent breakfast with fantastic choices No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Bathroom towels and shower mat were removed during cleaning but not replaced with fresh ones.

The location is nice The food is terrible both at breakfast and in the restaurant. Very low quality ingredients and poor cocking skills. Also the staff in general seems badly trained. The SPA area smells like sewage all the time and staff is rude.
