Hotel le Médieval

Arriving one hoir early by road during this period of heat. The reception was closed . I called to see if I could enter 1hoir early never got a call back. Room was hot aired out or AC turne on.

Warm hospitality.

The room was not super comfortable and there was some small distraction on the service (like the big towels for the shower were missing, but that was nothing that influenced our stay, and I am sure that if we asked we would have gotten some).

Great location. Nice staff. Room was small but comfortable. No kettle to make tea or coffee. There were just 2 paper cups. It would be nice to have a few glasses.

The level of service provided by Jeremy and Inga was second to none. They are friendly hosts who literally cannot do more for their guests. We had a great time and the property is in a fab location. I can highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel - this is generous and delicious, far better value for money than any of the offerings in local cafes. We will DEFINITELY be back, thank you Jeremy and Inga!

Superb

On the day of checkin I got a message from the hotel advising me that the room will be ready by 15:30. To my surprise when I stopped by the hotel around 12:30 to drop the bags the hotel was physically locked and no one was there. It is a standard practice for a hotel to be open during daytime. Send a message to Nancy, the Directrice who replied that she was not at the hotel and nothing can be done. My take - it is not a real hotel, book at your own risk.

Very kind and helpful host. Told me where all to visit, where to eat, etc. Tastefully decorated with colourful flowering plants on the outside & quaint collection of artefacts on the inside. WiFi access could have been simpler.

Superb

Staff were cheery and welcoming, and waited late to let us in since we’d been caught in bad weather and roadworks. Rooms were very clean, though there were many mosquitoes so if you’re prone to getting bitten be sure to bring some repellant and treatment. The breakfast spread was excellent, with lots of choice including pretty good options for vegetarians. The pool looked pleasant though we didn’t use it. The bed could have been comfier, and there was a bit of noise from other rooms - this didn’t bother us but if you don’t sleep well this is worth considering.

A nice little oasis. We are traveling by bicycle and the property was right on our path. The hosts were very accommodating and our room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Very clean and well kept.

Cleanliness, size of room, breakfast, easy access to centre of town Poor wifi, noisy at night due to bar next door, dark room, directrice was not helpful when we asked for a fabour

The garden area where you can eat breakfast is very pleasant. The lady at reception did not have an especially friendly manner. Simple requests like getting glasses for the room was clearly too much trouble, also the Wi-Fi code although it was entered into my phone and worked - intermittently. Writing it down seemed a chore. Additionally it seemed as if taking a couple of madeleines for our long car journey was not allowed, which we found very petty - given we had already paid 25€ for breakfast this seems very silly. Never mind we enjoyed them anyway ?

Location,facilities, surrounding villages and scenery No complaints

Nice hotel well located only a short pleasant walk to the old town . Room was clean and comfortable with everything you need . The breakfast was very good and the hosts helpful and friendly . Very good value for money .

Very nicely situated, very nice and cosy familiar armospere, great parking and good breakfast. Monsieur was extremely nice and helpful. Madame was thinking everything was a great problem! Not very friendly!

this was a lovely little hotel. The room was very well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and a typical French petit dejuner. there was a small garden with a swimming pool, and although too cool as yet it was sunny enough to sit out. we were 10 minutes walk from the town and its amenities, so the location was ideal.
