The views, comfort of the room, dinner meal at their restaurant. We used two rooms (family), the room that did not have a view could use a fan for warm summer evenings and air circulation

The view from the outdoor dining terrace is STAGGERING. Driving there was tremendously scenic. The place is quite dated, as though it had been updated a bit from the 60's, say. The staff ranged from sweet and helpful to a bit rigid.

Location. Nice staff 1. Dated and old interior. 2. Need new pillows. Old pillows that are in pieces. 3. Messy reception area. 4. Ancient hairdryer looks like a vacuum cleaner.

views are incredible - over looking the gorge, you could not get a better location. Staff was excellent and very helpful. I booked last min on a motorcycle trip and it worked out great. Incredible ride up to the hotel and back down the next day. Rooms were clean and the restaurant was great, again with great views. You could either eat inside or outside on the patio rooms were a little small and felt a bit dated

The hosts are great, very accommodating and very welcoming. The view is of course amazing. We have stayed before and would stay again. THE BEDS! We had 2 singles to make a double, both mattresses were so broken down it was like sleeping in a hammock! For the the first time in my life I had to actually put a pillow under the small of my back to get some support. Needless to say it was a terrible nights sleep. We did inform our hosts and they said they would change the mattresses immediately, so really it should not be a problem for anyone else? Just to be safe, if you are offered room 2, check the beds first!

Stunning location The hotel had certainly seen better days. It was very tired and dated. The set meal was very disappointing although the mushroom soup as a starter was well made.

The view from the balcony of the hotel is spectacular. The bed in the room was very comfortable and the bedroom clean. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were good. It was an amazing location. The drive to get there, but then that is why the view when we arrived was magnificent so worth the trade off.

Basic room with GREAT VIEW.Limlited English spoken staffs but they are very kind and helpful. Only half board.

Location was amazing with spectacular views Everything needed a bit of updating and decorating

The view from terrace The hotel was old and worn out. The bathroom had 1 toilet roll and the other was locked up. There was a poster on the wall asking g not to put condoms etc down the toilet. The re was a poster on the bathroom door letting you know that we were not to drink the water. There was no alternative. No kettle no water. Terrible small of cat pee in the bedroom. Awful place.

The view from the dining room and terrace is really amazing. The hotel is a little dated but in a wonderful way, it has a huge amount of charm and the old signs are great. My favourite detail was a toilet roll dispenser with a built in ashtray. The dinner and breakfast also good The bedrooms/bathrooms could do with a little refurbishment.

Most incredible location ever. Lovely hosts (family run business of many generations) and delicious food.

The views are stunning! The staff is so friendly. At first site it looks a little neglected, but the rooms are beautiful! New luxury vinyl floors and a beautiful bathroom. It has a rich history and a host of celebrities including Winston Churchill. The food was very good and homey So enjoyed the conversation with the son of the owner A little sprucing up outsite and on the restaurant.
