Hotel La Battigia

The hotel has an excellent beach front location with a lovely pool deck and restaurant with patio overlooking the ocean. The hotel was clean; personnel were friendly and helpful, and the place was decorated nicely. The price for the room for the amount of time we stayed was very fair. The included breakfast buffet was VERY good with a view as good as you'd get anywhere. Our room was smaller than it looked in the online photos. You may have to park some distance from the hotel (not too far) due to there being few parking spaces right by the hotel itself, but there is plenty of parking overall.

The hotel was small but built to a high standard with everything we needed for a great holiday. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant. Delicious authentic Italian food of a very high standard at a reasonable price. The wines were local and delicious. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make out stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room while comfortable and very clean, would benefit from a refurbishment particularly the bathroom which was showing signs of wear.

The rooms The reception staff were not friendly, not polite, and didn’t go out of their way to be helpful. The food was terrible. Tasteless. Service was slow. Cappuccino tasted like Nescafé instant coffee. The beach is not for swimming. The sea was turbulent at that location.

Right on the beach. Good breakfast and friendly staff. In a quieter part of Sicily so it was quite relaxing. 2 weddings and a baptism on the premises in our first 3 days. Had me wondering if it’s a wedding / event venue ( with a hotel attached - as these events took priority over all else )

Helpful and kind staff. Nice beach. We chosen this place hoping to have calm and nice place next to the see. However it was very loud (some party next to the hotel all day long). We ordered see view, but got ground floor with pool view. As pool was in front of see, I wouldn't name it as see view. It was named as luxury room, but it was far away from it. Just ordinary room. Pictures were not fully matching with reality. Pool was cold. Wheather was very windy. Place is ok, but not worth the price.

Superbly situated directly on the beach. A modern, comfortable hotel. They gave us the poolside rooms with superb views across the bay. The open-air and glass-enclosed restaurant overlooks the beach and bay. We ordered some excellent seafood dishes, and the server recommended an excellent local white wine to go with them. My veal steak was generous but underdone. The chef sent out a new portion perfectly cooked. Although there was a kettle and tea, there was no coffee available in the room, so you had to go to the bar. The shower cubical was a little small for us normal-sized people.
