Food n drink lovely. Room was so hot, yes it was a heatwave but, the window only opened an inch so no airflow. The shower leaked so bad it flooded the bathroom every time. Deliveries at 7am are a bit much and very loud. Food and drinks, service in the bar was very good.

Great setting and atmosphere, generous rooms, lovely food. While the nights were cool, the room up front was very warm because there’s hardly any fresh air coming in.

Food was good nice patio & beer garden. Quiet country location. The room needed a deep clean. The bed & bathroom were good but other areas needed attention. Corridors noisy & the exit door was banging late at night & from 7am non stop.

Fantastic location, great summer pub atmosphere and good food and drink selection. The rooms are shabby, far too hot to get any decent nights sleep and the fire door crashing outside our room woke us all through the evening and morning. The room hadn’t had a decent clean in years; cobwebs everywhere, mounds of dust on headboard, all surfaces not been wiped down, carpet dirty. Simple stuff but for some reason overlooked and would certainly put many people off staying but we weee there for just one night.

Good character and good outside terrace, pleasant friendly staff who were very helpful Good food! The bedroom was extremely hot!!! The fan was not adequate. There was no shower gel in the bathroom. This was rectified on day 2

Breakfast was very nicely cooked and presented. The location was idyllic: opposite a meadow with river and surrounded by thatched cottages. There was a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly although very busy. At breakfast toast could have been more readily available - there was just one slice with the cooked breakfast and we had to ask for butter. The pub would benefit from a stronger managerial presence. There was no sense of the influence of 'mine host' or someone clearly in charge.

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant/Bar was very good and there was a comprehensive menu. Excellent breakfast. The room was adequate but tired. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment or at least some refreshment. Peeling paint on woodwork, the shower waste was partially blocked, overall grubby.
