Charming, historic hotel in converted tram station. Walkable to restaurants, shops and park in Amstelveen. Host, Hugo, was personable, welcoming and accommodating. Lovely breakfast.

Everything about the property was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were great, breakfast was fabulous and the staff were kind and accomodating. We stayed in room 4 and it was extremely hot. Even with the fan on we barely slept. There was no air movement or air conditioning.

Hotel has been beautifully converted to a very high specification. Room was very clean and spacious, bathroom was spotless with high quality soap/shampoo/conditioner and soft towels. Also well equipped with hairdryer, fan, fridge, iron and board. There was a heatwave during my stay and my room was in the roof but with the fan working it was possible to sleep. Special mention to the staff (adult children of owners?) who were very welcoming and helpful. Not a criticism as such as the hotel is very upfront about the steep staircases - this is Amsterdam after all!- and has installed additional wall handles to help your descent, but be aware! Also, while beautifully presented in the lovely dining room (former station waiting room), the breakfast at 24 euros is simply overpriced.

This was a unique and cozy yet elegant hotel, which felt more like a bed-and-breakfast. The rooms were decorated nicely and felt comforting. The common area for breakfast was beautiful. The breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful and kind. It was in a quaint part of town, much more peaceful than downtown Amsterdam.

The staff was very friendly. I especially loved the service at breakfast time. The staff was also very helpful with directions when I needed to go somewhere. It was nice to stay in a historic building liink an old train station!
