Street is very noisy and dirty. Two days ago, I stayed at another hotel in Amsterdam for a similar price. The service here was definitely worse. The staff were rude. The room and bed were noticeably smaller. And who thinks of putting the luggage room one floor down? Of course, I know the narrow staircase problem is common in all central buildings. But this caused extra fatigue. Although the person working there told me in the morning that there was an elevator and I shouldn't worry, in the evening someone else almost yelled in my face that there wasn't an elevator, apparently that's how single rooms are. Terrible professionalism. Also, they take a deposit from your card(not accepted cash) for the room key, which was quite difficult to track.

Excellent location and very comfortable beds! Rooms are tight but provided exactly what we needed for a few a days in the area. Staff were all very kind and helpful and the bar/restaurant downstairs was a fun addition! The stairs are difficult and luggage storage is very crowded. We were able to manage okay, but something to consider for anyone who may have multiple/heavy bags or mobility issues!

Main attraction here was we landed here on short notice at 2am and it’s a great location so it checked the boxes of a place to stay, quick & fast. Verrrry small room, barely enough to move around the bed, nowhere to spread a bag out. Spartan furnishings and cleanliness, while adequate, was not exceptional.

The Hotel Old Quarter is very quaint. The staff is warm and efficient. We enjoyed the bar and lite bites from the kitchen, and morning coffees. My husband said the breakfast buffet was good and enjoyed not having to go out, first thing. Our room was very clean and literally on the canal; I could have reached out the window to the water. We couldn't figure-out the (updated) radiator for some chilly May weather and staff immediately arrived with a space heater and instructions on how to use the radiator. The location is fantastic; Amsterdam Centraal Train Station is just on the other side of the canal, which made daytrips to other cities and airport transportation super easy. Bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops surround the hotel for blocks and blocks, and the location makes it all quite walkable. Mickey, the housecat, keeps an eye on all goings on. =^. .^= We're both seniors but don't have mobility problems. The receptionist gave us a room in the main building with a canal view. It was at canal level, which involved a very steep set of short steps downward below street level--not easy to maneuver with luggage. It can't be helped, as it's an 18th-Century building. There is an elevator to upper floors. just an FYI

Its right in the centre of amsterdam. Really close to central station We punt the laugage in the room, but the office lady was rude! Telling us to to go i her office. We dint intent to do do so.

Please put the correct address to the hotel old Quarter. Some don't have access to the internet so PLEASE put the correct Address not the booking addresses from Amsterdam...

We loved the location, so close to the train station and on a street full of restaurants. The rooms were very nice and clean. The children loved the cat too.

The location, the downstairs pub and the service was lovely. We were also able to safely store our luggage while we were traveling the city which was very helpful. Our shared bathroom did not have toilet paper the two days we were there and we coud hear our upstairs neighbors very clearly.

Oh and one more thing…Gio and Mickey really are make our day! None, it just PERFECT for everything!

There was mucus on the curtains, hair on the sheets… Dust in the toilet. It was very dirty. Loud as well but dirt was the worst. We slept with hats on. They ask for a 50 EUR deposit when you arrive which is funny.

No toilet or shower in the room instead it was a communal one that was one floor lower than our room too.
