The guy gave us directions to leave and get to our new hotel. While checking in the man said both rooms have toilets, but someone didn't request a shower in both meaning we messed up. That was our first interaction with the place. We paid, got our keys and were told to head to the stairs. The stairs were a nightmare-straight up and down and very narrow. We have a disabled child, and the stairs are dangerous for anyone let alone someone with a disability. We had to go single file, and barley got the luggage up. Once in the rooms, they were not clean, my husband checked the mattresses and they were stained. Both rooms had a shower, but only one had a toilet (complete opposite of what the guy said, but still not good). The room with the toilet had tissues and a sink, but no paper towels or regular hand/body towels. I didn't check the other one. That same room had a band aid on the wall and when my husband went to remove it, he saw a hole. I wiped down each room with wipes I brought. We started looking for another place to go, but because it was King's Day, we didn't know if we would find anything. We decided that we couldn't stay. Besides the danger of our child going up and down the stairs, it was just not clean. We let the man at the front desk know that we are leaving (a different man) within 30 minutes of arriving. He said he could put us downstairs, but there wouldn't be a toilet. We said no. He had us cancel the registration, I got an email stating we would be refunded, then an email saying the refund was sent through our bank. We have been home over a month, and no refund has come through. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Nice friendly bearded guy at reception. Other guy wasn't friendly Leak of sink in room 10 3rd floor. Crazy stairs very dangerous and curtains don't keep light out

Love this place. It is so central, with access to Centraal Station, restaurants, shops, Trams, landmarks and the staff are super nice and helpful. The stairs, but hey, it IS Amsterdam :)

Location only was good There was too many bedbugs in my rooms and my blanket as well also I make video as well also first night my let eye was swell I go there to the reception and tell there no doubt I got my money back refund but I can’t sleep over there is a rubbish service even they don’t clean the room don’t change the bedsheets or blanket. Have still video in my phone ?????? refund is doesn’t matter right the matter is that a international tourist can explore well because can’t sleep well

Stairs not elevator as they put pictures before (they removed) and The stairs are narrow and completely inconvenient for carrying bags; they twist in a spiral fashion. Breakfast not international and its same everyday Bed not comfortable Staff not helpful, push me to get other room with extra money

The location is perfect, the breakfast is good, and the staff is nice. The room was outdated, and the very narrow staircase on the third floor made it hard to carry luggage up and down.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of Amsterdam. You can get anywhere by foot. Breakfast is also very good. MY bedroom was supposed to have a shared bathroom, and I got surprised with a private shower in the bedroom. It was good enough. The room is not very clean.

Strategic location!! Safe! Clean. 5 minutes to the central station.Fast WiFi.A lot of restaurants,shops and bars around.Nice & friendly staff.My breakfast was packed and ready early morning to take away! For the price and location only positive vibes

Evwry thing at this hotel was tiny,The single room and the toilett. the view was the main street it was loud the window was bit broken so i coulnd't sleep well. Breakfast variation was so plain and boring

Breakfast was good! Coffee real nice. Stairs are steep, oh well, that was known upfront. Not a big deal.
