ROX Hotel Ankara

Good location, nice breakfast. First we were given a room on a smoking floor and we were never asked if we were smokers. We requested a non smoking room but the room still smelled like smoke. Always ask if the rooms are smoking or not. Male receptionist not the kindest. Female receptionists nice and kind.

Nothing Cleanliness and bed bugs in room. I changed the room for 2nd night and the second room was worse than first room in lack of cleanliness and again had bed bugs.

Perfect location to travel through Ankara. The restaurant is located on the top floor with a nice view of part of the city. Customer service was exceptional with arranging taxis and transfers to various destinations but also with getting beers late at night while everything was closed. Bathrooms was good with warm water, the room was also properly cleaned each day with fresh towels and bottles of water being replenished.

The hotel is in a very central location. The room is big and very clean. It has everything you need in the bathroom plus complementary water. The restaurant on the top floor is also ok, with good variety of food. The breakfast could have a bit more variety. Also, I went there at 08.30 and all warm food was almost finished. The people in the reception do not really speak English, although we managed to commmunicate somehow with google translate. I sent them a message through booking asking about shuttle service from the airport, which they never answered, not even when I asked them again (I mean, a simple no would have been better than no answer). That being said, it was good value for money...

I really loved the location. It was truly central, right in the middle of shops, restaurants, and malls. I liked that the rooms were newly renovated with fresh modern designs, light colors, and big windows that opened to freshen up the air in the room. There were several issues I had with the hotel. It ranks as a four-star hotel but I do not think it is. 1. This hotel is in a pretty touristy district so I would assume some level of English level proficiency. Almost no one of the staff spoke English, so I had to google translate whenever I had to communicate with them. I felt really lost and unsafe because of that. 2. Breakfast was a true trash!!! Every single day was the same food. Also, they said it was from 7 till 11, but they started at 8 and wrapped up at 10, leaving us almost hungry twice. The products felt old. The staff was ignorant when I tried speaking to them or asking a question. They were borderline annoyed with us and felt like it was because I was speaking English to them. They did not have coffee and explained it was finished but they never filled it up. During the actual breakfast hours, they did not fill up empty food plates. 3. The smell in the room was bad. We thought it was a toilet smell, but we figured our it was coming from the AC. Whether it was on or off, the smell was still there, just worse if we would turn it on. So we had to sleep with open windows and be woken up every sunrise with the preyer sounds. We were sleepless all the time.

Nicely located, 15 min walk to reach historic center. Personnel parks your car. Room design was great, breakfast ok(except for coffee). Almost nobody speaks English. Personnel is reluctant to understand what do we need at all(simple things - coffee, dinner)

Spa requires appointment. All spa hotels always open except this one

The location is perfect, equally close to the old part of the city and to the modern. The size of room is good, comfort bed. Breakfast is on the roof top with a beautiful view. The room is the same as in the pictures on booking.com Cleaning ladies were very nice, always helpful Overall it was good, I wasn't disappointed, but they need to fix some things for sure. The staff doesn't speak any English. I mean, I didn't have any problems, so there was almost nothing to ask from them. But if the customer needed something, it wouldn't be impossible to explain to the staff what the problem is There was a smell coming from shower sewer from time to time, so I had to close the shower all the time. The breakfast is averagish. All the same stuff every day, and not a big choice anyway. The food is ok, but it says that the hotel has 4 star rating, the breakfast is not even close to that
