We walked into the hotel room and it immediately smelled strongly of smoke (we had chosen a non smoking room, and I have asthma.) The bedroom for some reason had an empty jacuzzi tub sitting in the corner that had gross yellow stains all over it and appeared to be broken. The bathroom was grimy and not a space I would have felt comfortable bathing. To add to that we were on the first floor and the windows had no black out curtains and only thin near see through curtains. We walked right out before even considering staying and asked for a refund and booked a new hotel. The reviews and photos that appear on this listing do not match our experience. We paid the same amount of money to stay at the Sheraton downtown which was a life of luxury in comparison to this.

We were in Apple Valley for my Brother’s funeral.we stopped at the Americ Inn at approximately 1:30 pm Friday afternoon the office manager informed us that check in was 3:00 pm afternoon and said cleaning staff was finished cleaning rooms. Hard to believe that 4 levels that a room was not available. However 1 1/2 hours later there are rooms available, somehow magical. We noticed that the outside along sidewalk and against the building over grown with weeds. Entered the elevator the control panel and stainless steel surround area absolutely filthy. Arrived at 3rd level the carpet was not vacuumed and trashed can in hallway was overflowing. Surprised that our room 314 was clean. We arrived on Friday and checked out Monday morning. Carpet still wasn’t vacuumed, trash overflowing, elevator still discussing. We stopped at target to buy sanitary hand wipes to clean the buttons on the elevator. My wife would rather walk up 3 flights of stairs than take the elevator. We had other family members staying at another motel about a mile away, when we went there that motel was extremely clean. We have stayed at other Americ Inns before during our travels and they were clean. Evidently the Manager is Not Doing their Job. Would never stay at Apple Valley Americ Inn again. Mark & Lori Myers.

They never refunded me my $50 deposit or whatever it is at check in... And honestly it was kind of dirty feeling. Especially the stairs and hallways.

The only thing that I'd see as a potential problem is there is a karaoke bar very close to this hotel. Like I said above we arrive pretty late Friday night and the bar was in full swing. Very loud music and people. Could hear it all from our room. If anything I'd ask to book the rooms across the hallway on the far side from bar. Otherwise. I'd def stay here again.

Clean room beds are comfy. Hotel could use some cosmetic fixes but overall decent place to sleep.

Room was dirty. Mold in bathroom and the in room whirlpool was too gross to get in. The breakfast was fine. The hotel staff was very helpful in fixing maintenance issues, such as a broken light and the low batteries on the fire alarm that kept beeping. No shades on window so had to deal with loud partying and car lights all night. Overall, would not stay here again but ok for the price.

Focusing on AmericInn... I was immediately disgusted by the fact that nothing seemed clean even before we got into the room. Broken floor tiles, dirty walls, floors etc... Upon walking in, a man was giving another young gentleman a haircut in the main space, where you eat your breakfast. He had his own broom and handheld dust pan, makes me think this is a normal occurrence. Front desk staff was there to witness like it was normal. After check-in, I wasn't told about breakfast, pool hours, quiet time or when I should check out. It was woman working and she seemed over worked, she wasn't rude, but she seemed like she needed help. The front desk was left alone for over 20 minutes at a time. I even had to tell guests myself she was alone and went to help someone else. My key cards stopped working--several times and she wasn't able to leave or resolve the issue. Also, not her fault! Now, the room, gross. Better than the rest of the hotel when it comes to cleanliness. Almost instantly found a wood tick. So, are there bud bugs? I felt gross all night. Couldn't sleep, on top of the fact that one of the beds basically had a sink hole in the middle. Pool area, seems nice and decent, until you realize there's mold and a bleach cover up that smells.Appreciate the fact that adult time is 10pm-11pm, but that isn't stated anywhere. However, it's NOT clean, anywhere. Bottom line, this hotel needs a good scrub and renovation!

Due to the health concerns, we immediately notified the front desk and left the property without unpacking, staying overnight, or using any hotel services. We had no choice but to book another hotel immediately. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of accountability afterward. Despite the serious condition of the room and the fact that we never used the accommodation, the property still refused to issue a full refund. I strongly encourage management to address the cleanliness, maintenance, and mold concerns seriously before other families experience the same situation.

Front Desk staff was wonderful. Hair in fridge and very dirty beside and behind fridge. Breakfast looked like it was frozen bulk food thawed and heated in a microwave
