Residence Inn Arlington Capital View

Very friendly staff and a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. I would highly recommend it to everyone

There was no mention of views either way in the room descriptions. I called a week before our check-in and asked if at least one of our rooms could have a veiw of the planes taking off or landing at Reagan, not a city view, just planes. Two of my sons are aviation hobbyists. The person I spoke with said they cannot make any guarantees until check-in but he looked up my account and said he added a note to our reservations. When we checked in, I was told these rooms are for families and they do not provide views for small children. My sons are ages 10, 13, 15, and 17, not exactly small anymore and standing right in front of her. If there were such an anti-family policy, it should have been mentioned in the booking and especially when I called ahead. This was one of the key factors in booking this specific hotel.

Great stay

Our room was very nice. It even included a little kitchen area complete with dishes and a dishwasher, full size refrigerator and freezer, and stovetop. There was even a form to request groceries to be purchased and delivered to your room. There were a dozen nice dining options within a mile of the hotel, or you could eat at the restaurant operated at the hotel next door which was accessible via a shared indoor hallway. Though close to the airport, the hotel was quiet. There is a shuttle every half hour to and from the airport and another shuttle every half hour to and from the metro station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows quickly flattened. The breakfast options were varied and tasty.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was very attentive and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was lovely and clean. The buffet style breakfast was great, with many options to choose from.

Clean room, king beds and full kitchen were a nice bonus. Breakfast choices good and large eating area. Helpful front desk staff. Large workout room and variety of equipment. Housekeeping lacking--garbage in room piled up (not emptied daily) and when we put towels on the floor to be replaced that day, it wasn't done, so we had to request new towels that were eventually brought to us at the end of the day.

The hotel and room were clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. The breakfast was as expected. The only real complaint is with Socci, the restaurant in the Renaissance Inn. We went there for dinner, after it was suggested by a front desk agent, and my wife and I were not impressed. Service was lacking and overall the food was bland and not worth the price.

The location is great however the train is a it noise in mornings.

We loved the convenience of this hotel! Located close to a metro bus station and the hotel shuttles that go to the Metro Crystal City Station and the airport were a huge help!

The breakfast offered many options. They have a shuttle that goes to the airport and to a Metra station.

They have a shuttle not only to the airport, but to a Metra station, giving easy and quick access to sights downtown.

This property was very nice for the price and I would stay again.
