This hotel features a private, very quiet location in a picturesque setting. Our room is very comfortable and has large windows that offer unobstructed views to the water. We had an excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant and watched a memorable sunrise during breakfast the next day. We can't wait to return for a longer stay.

The location is fantastic right on the water's edge with a lovely vista of boats and the Gulf. Breakfast was included - good and catered for all tastes. Cooked breakfast was extra. It has a number of features not common in French hotels such as bottled water in the rooms and an electric jug and cups and saucers for tea and coffee making. There is lovely embossed linen on the beds and the staff are very friendly. There is a lot of English spoken. Their restaurant is first class - should have a Michelin star! One thing that was unusual was that the toilet was separate from the bathroom - right across the other side of the room. There was no handbasin in the toilet and this meant you had to go across the room to the bathroom to wash your hands. This is not very hygienic and a bit dangerous in the dark of night. The restaurant is quite expensive (very good though) but there is no other facility for a quick coffee in the hotel. There is one beach type cafe/restaurant nearby.

Les Venetes rates as a wonderful hotel in our experience. Staying there was a pleasure. From the moment of arrival to the point of departure the people could not have been more welcoming, helpful and relaxing. The location is superb, overlooking the Morbihan directly and the room was beautifully decorated. The balcony(s) in better weather would have been a true delight! We enjoyed dinner which was worthy of a Michelin star and breakfast which were served by professional staff. When we return to the area we will certainly consider a repeat stay. The weather!
