Hotel Es Blau des Nord

Our stay at Es Blau des Nord was one of the best holidays we've had in years. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is the hotel for you. We visited just before the main season, which meant a calmer atmosphere and fewer guests, something we really appreciated. The hotel sits right on the beach, with stunning views from both the rooms and the restaurant, and the interior strikes a lovely balance between minimalist and stylish. The staff were consistently warm, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh and well-prepared, and the restaurant food was genuinely delicious. The pool area is on the smaller side, but we had no trouble finding a spot in the early days, and on busier days, the beach is only a three-minute walk away. A lovely bonus was the free yoga session offered each morning. The surrounding town of Colonia de Sant Pere is charming and peaceful, with a handful of lovely restaurants. Cycling along the coast is a real highlight: easy, scenic, and enjoyable. That said, this destination is best suited to those seeking tranquillity rather than nightlife or shopping. Larger towns like Artà, with great shops, restaurants, and art galleries, are easily reachable for a day trip. Honestly, the stay met our expectations in every meaningful way. Our only suggestions would be cosmetic: a few rooms and fixtures show minor signs of wear, scuffs on the walls, a slightly aged bathroom mirror, none of which affected cleanliness or comfort in the slightest. On the breakfast front, it would be a welcome addition to offer more variety catering to lactose-intolerant, plant-based, or non-pork diets, as the meat selection was predominantly pork.

Our ‘sea view’ room looked on to the garden courtyard. The only sea-view was from an extra balcony up an extra flight of stairs to the roof top.

Amazing access to the beach with convenient bike, kayak and paddle board rentals. The town and neighborhood were very quiet which is a nice change from many other areas on the island. The adjoining restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. A little bit of a far walk from the town center- ~20 minutes. Room A/C struggled in the Mallorcan heat.

Nice location on the edge of the village, great breakfast, nice rooms. U can go to pool only between 11:00 - 19:00.. Didn't get the reason..

One of the nest Hide aways on the island. Lovely stuff, everything’s perfect!

We did find the rooms per say to be more plain and simple in comparison to the rest of the hotel. It was nice to have access to a small fridge but otherwise there was no coffee machine or kettle, and some items such as wine bottle opening, cutlery, etc.

We simply loved the location, it was what we were looking for during this summer! It is full reset, escape from the crowd, right at the seaside with a natural park and amazing, quiet beach just nearby. The food was amazing, the breakfast delicious and the staff always was always smiling and ready to help. We will return one day.

The place and views are amazing. The best place to connect with nature and have a proper calm rest. Thr sunsets are beautiful Overall, everything was good and we really loved our stay. But there are things to consider: 1. The hotel website says about cycling tourism and they have the photos of the road bikes there. This is not true already 2 years. They only have city bikes, not of the best quality. So to rent the bikes we needed to go 30 mins to the closest colony. This was disappointing. However, the staff was always super helpful and tried to make our stay comfortable 2. All the additional facilities/entertainment like yoga classes, or kayak rent is for fee 3. The breakfast is of good quality but indeed the choice is very limited. If you don’t eat the bread or eggs or sweets it’s hard to find smth. We stayed 7 night and last days we got really tired of the options which were offered. It really lacks options of greens, fruits, vegetables. 4. If you take a half-board, consider that the choice of dishes is very small and if you’d like to try smth new, you can order other dishes for 50% :) tricky system 5. It was sometimes unpleasant sewer smell in our room 6. The restaurant is overpriced in case you want to have there a lunch or have smth extra during the day 7. The hotel isn’t very comfortable for those who are coming without the car. We knew it, it’s fine, but for example the drinkable water isn’t free, you can buy it either in the bar which is overpriced or you need to walk 30 mins to the closest supermarket 8. The staff at the restaurant was amazing. BUT often seemed to be overwhelmed and tired. Like they lack people there. The only person taking the orders from the whole restaurant seems not enough 9. The closest beach is rocky. Sand beach is in 10 mins. The beaches are rather the wild ones. The hotel and the rooms in fact are very basic. I’d say it looks more fancy on the pictures. Although for us it didn’t matter

Dinner was excellent. Very good grilled octopus. Slight sewage smell in the room bathroom.

Loved the location, food, and staff!! Recommend adding a comforter for the bed. Bike helmets should be provided :)

Amazing views of the sunset from the restaurant. Good pool. Clean rooms. 1. No drinking water in the rooms. No way to get water in the hotel except buying in the restaurant. 2. I ordered takeaway breakfast 2 days in advance and was assured by the staff that everything is in order. However, I didn’t get it. 3. I got additional bills after checkout. 4. Staff could be more friendly
