Lower than average on the "extras", the little things that (should) make hotels stand out from just rentals. For example, I stayed 3 nights and they didn't add little shower gel bottles. I had to go buy shower gel in the supermarket to wash; something I literally never experienced in a hotel (not even in Airbnbs probably). Shower didn't have a curtain, not great water pressure and doesn't hold temperature well. Wifi slow. The breakfast is basic, few options; I expected more from a place that in the evenings runs a highly praised restaurant.

The location is great as you are right next to the capital where there is great nightlife and shops. The hotel itself is just perfect and there is a restaurant at the hotel that has some of the best food I have ever had. It was much better than the other restaurants I had visited on the island. I'd recommend the Mastelo, Tyrokeftedes, and the Octopus... and pretty much everything else on the menu too. I can't wait to visit again next summer. Thank you Stamatis for your kind hospitality. You made us feel at home.

This is a family run hotel in a beautiful, well connected and charming town. Super easy to access from Apollonia, very close to the bus stop to access the rest of the island, very close to Artemon’s charming town andany trails. Welcoming owners, very proud of their beautiful culture and so happy to share it. Great value for money with a delicious home made breakfast and a fantastic restaurant with authentic home made food from Sifnos. Great hot shower and comfortable, air conditioned simple room. We will be back!

Family owned hotel with a fantastic chef who happens to run the business in such a wonderful way you feel always welcome and respected Sometimes front road adjacent rooms get traffic noisy

Really enjoyed this family run hotel. Simple, but quality & view from room is still awesome! Don't skip the restaurant. Top meals & small breakfast prepared from fresh ingredients, directly from his farm. Very welcoming hosts & original, small-island vibe.

In this day and age of very expensive rentals, it is so nice to find a moderately priced, family owned and operated hotel. The Artemon is conveniently located in a charming village with easy access to public transportation, restaurants and parking. The hotel provides a generous breakfast, the rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean with a private balcony. There is also a great restaurant serving food from the family farm. The Artemon offers a truly traditional Greek experience.

Great location. We were walking the Sifnos trails and there were some right from the door and excellent buses a few steps away. Loved the neighbourhood - beautiful with lots of restaurants. Wonderful view from our room. Owner was a character! Friendly cats - we wanted to take one home with us!! Breakfast was disappointing the 1st morning. We asked and got more food the next 2 days. Over 3 days never saw anyone else at breakfast although the third morning there was an event at the church next door and a little Greek lady seemed to consider our table was hers and make it clear it was time for us to move on. The experience is very basic - no extra pillows, blanket, water glasses or bottle of water. Fridge was unplugged. No doubt if we had asked we might have gotten some of these things but having to ask all the time is not pleasant. Would choose another place next time.

Very welcoming staff, fantastic location and good breakfast included.

Breakfast was served in a cozy garden , we felt excellently cared for by the staff of the family-run hotel. We got from the owner a lot of valuable information about the history of the island and its inhabitants. This hotel is absolutely recommended for all travelers who want to experience a piece of authentic island life.

The location was very good. 15 min from Chora by foot. The 3bed room was quite cosy and spacious. Breakfast was served, there was no buffet, however this may have been cause of the pandemia. It included limited things i.e baked bread, butter, marmelade, lemonade coffee and a piece of cake. Sometimes there was a small portion of yogurt or biscuits. No milk, cereals, fruits or any kind of eggs. In one of the rooms there was no rope to hang clothes etc for drying, the fridge was too small to fit even some small bottles of water & fruits. The double room had no fridge and the bathroom floor was quite dirty upon arrival. Both rooms had a balcony facing the road, so there was a lot of noise from people and especially vehicles passing by, even with closed windows. We were informed that we could enter the rooms after 15.00 and we had to leave them at 11.00 which was quite limiting. The rooms were generally too expensive compared to what we expected, considering that we booked them 2,5 months in advance.
