I had a great stay! The staff let me check in early which was super helpful because I needed to get ready for a wedding! Room was clean and pool was so nice. All the staff was extremely friendly. The only thing was the parking it was an extra $90 a night. They should really include that when booking.

( staff at hotel) went above and beyond in making our visit awesome. You could tell it’s not because they were trying but because of who they are🩷 Good men. Hotel is blessed to have them. A wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back ! Nicky & Gina☀️💛

The decor is old and unattractive! Old furniture and lots of damaged fabric. Room curtains were ripping and darkening material on curtain was peeling off. Paint chips peeling off walls. Lobby pillows were ripped. Amenity charge of $28 per day was charged. What amenities?? Not even a microwave or coffee in room. Cleaned my own room. Requested clean towels each day, housekeeping was very accommodating to give us fresh towels from their cart each day. $75 per day to park at the hotel. Paid for street parking, much cheaper The staff is lovely. Wouldn’t stay again though!

This was the third time I stayed at this property but I was most disappointed this time. I made the resie through Expedia but was never informed that there were surcharges for bringing a dog. I was informed when I got to the hotel that it was an additional $100 for the stay and $25 each night. I never checked the boxes on the form I was asked to fill out that I was ok with this. There were no special services or accommodations that would have warranted that fee! Quite the contrary! When I left the room the next am for 4 hours with my dog and left the sign on the door to make up the room that the dog was not in it, it was not done. I called down when I returned that I would once again be out with my dog- it still wasn’t done. My room was never cleaned, vacuumed, beds made, garbage’s emptied, towels replaced in a timely manner. Not only did I have to pay the surcharge for my dog but my room was never cleaned on my 2 night stay! There was also a resort fee of $25 per person per night. If you didn’t use the pool what was that for?! Also, the blackout liners on the drapes were shredded so that they created a very dilapidated look to the room when closed and were ineffective in keeping the light out. Also I felt that $90 to park overnight as a guest of the hotel was exorbitant and excessive. I was disappointed in what I was felt was a money-grab by the Berkeley and yet the quality had declined. I will say the grounds were beautiful.

    Great stay in Asbury!

Love Berkley. Good location on the north beach. Nice coffee place. Helpful staff. It's a hotel with some history but inside is modern, stunning really. Get an ocean view or at least a partial. Fun bar but there are other bars in Asbury. Just know, you will have to valet park. Street parking (at least in summer) is impossible to find. Unless you wish to park far away from the hotel.

Have to get to the pool before 12 to guarantee a lounge chair. After paying the amount per night, there are too many empty spots that are for extra money and not enough free spots to lounge on.

The air conditioning was not working right, too loud , the vents in the bathroom didnt work, the sink was tiny and overflowed easily, lights were not controlled by one switch, parking was expensive $90/day, pool is small for all guests. The concierge didnt even tell us he could not accomodate our double room request. We knew only after we entered the room that we didnt get a double room change..Overall, not worth the price!

    Great location and nice amenities

Great not to have to haul beach gear too far. Be advised that you need to purchase beach passes each day. There are boardwalk shops and restaurants close by too. A couple of criticisms, though nothing to keep me from returning: free coffee in the morning in the lobby was really watery. Before you run off to their little cafe to buy a better cup, note that the cafe’s regular coffee seemed the same to me! Note that walls are pretty thin. The kids zooming in/out didn’t bother us. Night was quiet. Parking is valet only or you rough it on the streets with pay parking. Two zones nearby: one was $3/hr, the further one, $1/hr. I was irritated by the arrangement at their pool: not only are all cabanas rental, the rest of the areas around the perimeter that have a “sail style” shade canvas are also rental only. Far too much rental space. The free pool lounges/umbrellas, in the middle around the pool deck, are fine. In all, I thought our stay worked out well.

The hallway on the floor we stayed on, smelled like fresh piant, which I believe was due to remodeling of the facility. Otherwise for a weekday getaway it was pleasent.

From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed! I don't know how to explain it, but it even SMELLS like vacation! The front desk staff was friendly, hooking my 9 year old up with some AP swag and getting us off tomorrow room quickly. Speaking of rooms, ours was HUGE! The bed was a bit on the firm side, but I don't mind that at all. Overall the grounds were impressive. The little cafe downstairs has great coffee, the pool area is so cute with its little cabanas. We had a fantastic stay and will absolutely go back!

Bring everything you need for the beach! Property and room a bit tired/worn.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Not enough lounge chairs except to pay for them under a shady canopy over $100 a day . Otherwise hotel was fine just weird charges

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the bed was very comfortable. The room we rented also had plenty of space for our whole family! NA

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The property was fine, the pool area needs to be bigger for the size of the hotel. Small pool and not enough chairs. No chairs available after 10am.

No microwaves was a downside. Everything else was great!
