Customer-focused vibe.

We love staying a the Stratford! It's so conveniently located, walkable to all the restaurants, shops, and theaters in Ashland. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and they have a nice breakfast in the mornings. Great indoor pool as well?

Great place to stay when you're in town for the Shakespeare Festival!

The well-designed Stratford Inn provided an excellent hotel stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable with excellent HVAC and Internet services. The heart-healthy breakfast contained a large variety of delicious choices and the location in the heart of Ashland allowed walking access to restaurants and theaters.

Nice location, but it’s a real old hotel and the pictures look much better than in real life. Breakfast was sub-par, but the staff were very nice people.

Beautiful breakfast area, light and airy and relaxing
-
Location. Parking near and got a covered spot. Could walk into town center or university.

Pool was heated and great location, across from a Safeway Room is a bit tight but comfortable

Staff was very helpful. Room was great.
-
Waking distance to downtown. Great interior decor with theater posters. But all that was compensated by the nice staff and overall vibe of the inn. Recommend it for sure. One bathroom drain was not smooth and AC unit was a bit noisy.

Staff very friendly especially with a late check in. Was a seamless check in process and got to our room quickly. Cute things nearby (lots of coffee shops!) BEST PART, dog friendly. We were hoping to do a later check out because we travelled in late the night before. Unfortunately, we could not be accommodated on that request so had to leave by 12. No other meeting spaces in the hotel.

The pool is unmatched, the healthy breakfast the best best best. The staff is stellar, from Jacob, Sarabi and Kim at the desk, to Reilly and Cindy at breakfast and all the rest. We walked to the theatre in less than 15 minutes. I witnessed someone damage his own pickup trying to park in the limited underground parking. It would make sense I think to label these spaces for Compact Cars only, as I found it only large enough to park comfortably in my compact vehicle.

The property is located across the street from a grocery store. It is also centrally located in downtown Ashland. I have a limited, non-wheelchair mobility need. My first issue with the property was a lack of accessible parking, and the parking spots were very narrow, which prevented my door from opening enough to allow me in or out. Next, I had requested a first-floor room due to my needs. The room assigned to me was obviously a pet-friendly room and smelled strongly of dogs and cleaner, as though housekeeping did what they could to hide the smell. But worst of all, someone had used an oil-based cleaner on the linoleum floor (and bathtub, it turns out) in the bathroom, and I slipped as soon as I walked in (fortunately, catching myself). I contacted the front desk and was given another room, but this one was on the second floor, quite a distance from the elevator. Although they have an array of cold breakfast foods, there is nothing other than fruit for someone who has a keto or gluten-free diet (no protein or hot foods). It was a very disappointing stay, and I would probably only return under very limited circumstances.

This was the cleanest and most comfortable hotel we’ve stayed in for ages. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.
