Aswan Plaza Hotel

The location was acceptable, and the hotel later apologized for the situation. However, this did not make up for the overall poor and unsafe experience we had during our stay. Our stay was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We experienced repeated and prolonged power outages, which made it difficult to sleep, charge our phones, keep food and drinks safe, or feel comfortable in the room. As a family with children, the situation felt unsafe and unhealthy. The hotel’s handling of the situation was not sufficient. The lobby was also an enclosed area where guests were smoking, with no proper intervention or ventilation, which made the environment even more uncomfortable and unhealthy for our family. Overall, the conditions did not meet the basic standards expected from a hotel, and we did not receive the service we paid for.

The staff was very nice. I got in the hotel pretty late due to my flight delay. They still tried to prepare my preordered dinner and brought it to my room. They also upgraded my room, and the view of Nile from the room is great! The room is a bit dated.

It was excellent for the price. The one girl at reception was awesome. I think her name was Sameera. If I owned a business I would hire her. The girl at their cafe was also very customer oriented! To be fair everyone was friendly I have nothing negative to say

The bathroom was specious (I liked that) but only having fixed shower (one should wear shower cap (available in the bathroom) in order not to wet your hair). To be fair, it is important to say that we spent only one night there and all together it was above our expectations.

Staff very welcoming, rooms clean and breakfast had a great selection. Not many amenities. Paid a premium amount and had a view of the back of the building and after a long day of travel had to be awoken at 8am to construction going on on the building. Cost should have been been half of what I paid

Location was good. Decent breakfast. Price too high for this aged hotel. Food just ok, not great.

From my upset girlfriend: In general, it is a fine hotel. However, the busboy/steward broke my things whole store our luggage. I heard it and went back to check. He was hiding it while I was asking: did you break something? Then I saw my stuff and I said so you broke it? He said, oh. That’s it. Period. After we got back our luggage, the receptionist was asking about our experience and the same busboy/steward was there. I told the receptionist what happened and even then he still did not apologize. Btw, no compensation at all. Only 1 single apology from the receptionist. Anyway, enjoy your time in this hotel. Hope all of your stuff will be safe

Lobby kind of nice. Complementary treat in room was pretty good Street noise really bad even from the 5th floor at 1AM; manager not flexible regarding minor mistake on the reservation; rooms need updating and some cleaning

People smoke inside the hotel lobby. It smelled like smoke also in the rooms. That is the only bad point. Everything else was great :)
