Fourth time we've been to the hotel. The rooms are excellent, but the dining room was not open due to renovations. Unfortunately, they didn't bother to inform us and the replacement at the hotel next door was unusually poor. Before you book, make sure they've finished the renovations, and if not, plan on having breakfast somewhere else (there are plenty around).

The location is amazing. The plaza across the road is THE PLACE for gatherings, music, shops and restaurants. The weekend evenings are lively. Train station, literally across the road at The Plaza as well. The Parthenon is visible from our room on the first floor. Lit up at night it’s a site to behold. The room very comfortable as was the bed. A small elevator to upper floors. Honestly, it was a 10 out of 10.

Fantastic location - in Monastiraki square by metro. Great bed and linens / modern lighting - very cool. Was pleased with everything

Right In The Heart Of Town. Monastiraki… Plaka.. And Acropolis…! The..Shower Floor..Could Have Been Grooved To Drain Water , Better..Under Foot.

Maybe the best view we’ve ever had anywhere! Facing the Acropolis over the energetic square and market was fabulous. The windows were great so it was not noisy. Storage was good, room was very large, big windows. Lots of plugs. The rooftop is being terminated so had to walk across street for breakfast but it was very good- they also offered a free drink on the sister property rooftop but our view was so good we just stayed in. Small elevator and be careful not to get your boat trapped as the inside doors close! No bathtub and could have had another bathroom shelf

The staff were exceptional! I appreciate all of the assistance and friendliness of each staff member. The views were amazing. Many activities are close by and it’s near the subway. The bed was comfortable. I could not be happier. I did have one girl (I didn’t get her name but she told me that she was from Africa) that deserves an extra shout out. She was so kind! Posting pictures from my deck in the sky!

The people at the reception desk were wonderful. Super helpful with directions, too. Our balcony view of the Acropolis was fabulous. The central location made it easy to get to different venues. Close to Metro Station, though we did not use it. Disappointed that the rooftop bar was closed for renovations.

Location and breakfast Difficulty with traffic right outside hotel front door

The reception staff was wonderfully accommodating and friendly. The room was fantastic, as was the view. The location was perfect, as we were close to major shopping areas and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. 100% recommend this hotel if you are in Athens! It would have been nice to have been informed that the rooftop restaurant was closed for renovations before we arrived.

Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed for renovation during our visit, but the staff handled the situation wonderfully, allowing us to have the breakfast right across the street, at another wonderful restaurant with same magnificent view of the Acropolis. It was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. Even with the temporary closure, the atmosphere of the place, the professionalism of the staff, and the prime location made a very positive impression on us. Their hospitality and attention to guests truly stood out. Highly recommend A for Athens and would definitely return!

Great location with Acropolis view . Accesssble to tourist spots . The tiny elevators - confusing to use !

The A for Athens hotel is so accessible to tourist spots . Acropolis of Athens

A little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Everything was amazing, especially with this incredibly tight location. The elevator is tiny, but this could not be helped. This is a similar situation in many of the hotels in downtown Athens. There is a staircase to compensate.

Our room looked out at the Acropolis. Just a stunning view! We had a small balcony where we could relax. The mattress was not comfortable. Very firm.
-
Insane view of the Acropolis! Noisy at night- recommend ear plugs!

Hotel is in the city center, walking distance of the most attractions so excellent location. Our room was really big and spacious, and having coffee machine for Nespresso and kettle, fridge and safety box. The breakfast, served on the roof top with a view of Acropolis, is very good. Although the bathroom is beautifully designed it is not practical at all. The towel rack is above the toilet which might be good for putting new towels for new people but is not really hygienic. Also there is not enough hooks for used towels next to the bathroom sink - only one in the room for two people. The dimmed light in the bathroom might be cozy but not useful for anything - no shaving, not putting make-up.

Breakfast could have been better, more items can be added. Also, not remaining items are not re-supplied

I think the breakfast can be better if you have more options of vegetables and fruits.
