SpringHill Suites by Marriott Athens Downtown/University Area

The hotel was clean and presentable, and the outside appearance was nice. The staff at the front desk was friendly. However, the floor and the room that we stayed on smelled moldy. The room was clean, but the room smelled moldy. The carpet by the air conditioner was wet which may be why the room was moldy. Not much lighting (lights/lamps) in the room to use at night; wish there were a ceiling light/more lamps by the window area especially at night. Much light during the day when can open up the curtains. The bed was uncomfortable each night. The ice machine on the floor was not working so we had to go on another floor to get ice. The stay was ok unsure if I will stay here in the future.

Location! Walk for orientation at UGA The beds were uncomfortable, the shower wasn't as clean as I like and I could clearly see a handprint on the fabric headboard.

Right in the heart of campus, easy spot to walk to everything. Wish parking was free. paid parking lot.

Parking garage right next door so plenty of parking and the room was very clean

Close to the University. Really crowded. The staff were snobby. The hotel knew what they were doing when they charged over $500 for one night stay. What a way to exploit graduating students and their parents.

Beautiful room. Very very clean. Staff at the front desk was very nice. Even let us keep our car in the parking lot after we checked out so we could go get breakfast.
