Confiable for a family A little old

The manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and views from the rooftop restaurant are the best. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Absolutely everything was perfect. The staff were welcoming and accommodated my need to leave before breakfast by leaving an ample breakfast at my my door. The room was beautiful and spacious, with an amazing view of the Acropolis from sunrise to brilliantly lit at night. Location was perfection; 5-10 mins walk up a beautiful pedestrian avenue to the trail that leads to the base of the Acrooolis (group meeting place/ticket office). Walking distance to many historical sites, the flea market, shops & restaurants. The on site restaurant was wonderful with excellent service, food and views. The food was excellent; I'm forever going to dream of the moussaka and rich morning yogurt & fruit). I highly recommend. Thanks for making my visit so special. Paige Romine That I had to leave.

The floor was dirty the first day

Great location to explore Athens. Close to the Acropolis. Many restaurants nearby. The neighborhood felt safe. We had a nice little balcony to enjoy the view of the square and the Acropolis in the distance. The room was very clean but other areas a little tired/not as tidy. Good breakfast included but it started a little late for our early morning tour. The major downfall to this room was the shower which was tiny. Instead of a door they had a shower curtain which stuck to you throughout the shower. Yuk, expecially when it is not your shower curtain. I am not sure if this bathroom was intended to be a wet room but even if it wasn't the bathroom ended up very wet. We were on a cruise ship with a similar size shower but as it had a glass door it was tolerable, so if they could make that change it might be ok. The overall size of the bathroom was good.

The view! Tremendous

The staff treated us like family from the moment we arrived. They unloaded our luggage for our party of 5 which was substantial, while they directed us inside to cafe tables with cool lemonade awaiting. This is old school hospitality that we just don't experience in the US anymore and it's sad we don't. All this and I haven't even mentioned the view from our room balcony directly on the Acropolis and the rooftop bar/restaurant that we ate it with the same view at night. Wonderful stay and highly recommended to anyone staying in Athens. Absolutely nothing we didn't like.

the location is great and the staff was wonderful. The building is a bit old but you can see they have upgraded quite a few things. DONT use the booking.com address...it is wrong and the taxi dropped me off 2 blocks away and I had to push my suitcases up a steep hill over cobblestones! Call the hotel for the correct address. Drink prices at their restaurant across the street were a bit high. Half L of beer was 8.50 euro, vers 5 euro 2 block away.

Kleenex in the bathroom would be a plus. The shower had some leaks so water would get on the floor. That's not a big deal but it's a little messy.

Good location very close to the Acropolis and Ancient Agora. We were met with smiles and lemonade on check-in, however our experience quickly turned negative. We found in one bathroom a broken toilet seat which almost caused a serious accident for our elderly mother with a knee replacement, a filthy shower curtain which was quickly removed by staff and never replaced. Hotel staff's response to these two issues was to send maintenance staff to repair the bathroom issue at a late hour, with an offer for complimentary dinner and an offer to change the room in question to a lower floor without a balcony view, separated from our own room. Following this ordeal which ruined our evening and night, we were then surprised to find stained linens in the second room, both bed sheets and pillow cases and a stained towel and dirty shower in the second bathroom. We did not shower in these conditions and slept on towels, disgusted with the linens underneath and did not report these additional issues as to deal with the staff again would've meant a sleepless night and would've ruined our only day for touring Athens. Everything described here was communicated to the hotel management team after our vacation, with a request for a partial compensation for the serious inconveniences caused by their maintenance and cleaning staff. We were met with polite denials at first, which turned into legal threats when we brought up the fact we would post pictures of what we found in their hotel on check-in. Needless to say, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel, the conditions and aggravation dealing with its management is not worth your time and money. Plenty of other options in the area which we now regret overlooking.

Nice young gentleman met us with lemonade, brought docs to table for check in , walked us to room, carried our luggage, brought us snacks when he found we would miss comp breakfast! Would have liked to turn lights off in balcony

We loved every thing. From the moment we arrived early on Sunday March 29, 2026 Kyriakos was an execeptitonal Manager. He secured our bags and then we went to visit the acropolis. Super close. When we came back - Bags in room and the view was exaclty as shown on the Web. Perfect centarl location next to the Acoropils. The walk around balcony was beautiful. We stayed one night but wished we stayed more - we had to connect with a cruise. The staff such as Eleni and Elia and of course Giogos were so professional and super accomodating. The exceptional service of Hotel Thissio employees will defintely make us cone back in the future. Finally the breakfast which was included was awesome. A big shout out to the entire staff!!!!! Kyriakos was lazer focused on making sure the guests were happy and he achieved that by his actions. If we could give him a 15 out of 10 we would. Thank you Kyriakos!!!!! Everything was perfect

Friendliest staff. Amazing neighborhood. Will not stay anywhere else when I go to Athens. They are phenomenal. Breakfast was delicious. I had a wonderful time and can’t recommend this property enough. Made my bucket list vacation perfect and I mean perfect. 10/10 no notes. ❤️ Not a problem for me personally but it would be a little bit hard for people with a wheelchair to navigate.

The hotel is very well located, very clean and confortable. An abundant and delicious “ a la carte” breakfast was included,at no extra cost. Prime attention by the hotel staff made our stay a very pleasant experience. There’s nothing to complaint about the property.

The location is absolutely amazing. The hotel is within walking distance of major monuments and historical sites, making it very easy to explore Athens on foot. The views and surroundings are beautiful, especially being so close to iconic landmarks. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent fresh, delicious, and with a great variety of options. It was one of the highlights of the stay. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely stay here again.
