breakfast is wonderful, nice assortment of food well worth it. I was happy with the large counter space by the sink. beautiful view. across the street there is another hotel with a little restaurant and a roof top. the hotel was full but they did give us a little more time before checking out. it would have been nice to have more hanging places in the shower / toilet - no sink the sink is on the out side. very small elevator (2 people with carry on) no coffee or lounge chairs available in the lobby which is small and is also the breakfast aria. we were able to leave our suitcase in the lobby (no special storage space) the hotel is located a little far from cafes and restaurants especially for people that can't walk far.

Staff professional and friendly, we only spent one night and had a 5am pick up for the airport they arranged a to go box for the included breakfast. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Main Street with a view of the acropolis and tons of shops and restaurants. In a quiet street.

The location is very bad. Saw some people getting stolen close by.

    Very bad location

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The hotel is a little bit outside of the center but the area is calm and if you are coming by car, parking will be more easy to find! Otherwise it is a 20-30 minutes walk to the Acropolis. Good breakfast was provided, staff was helpful.

The location is relevantly convenient, 10min walking distance to the train station. Also it’s close to many streets with graffiti. Room is quite small. The light in the balcony cannot be switched off and you will have to close the curtains.

Great staff and breakfast was amazing.

We loved the location. It was very walkable to cafes which we discovered down the alleys! One day we walked all the way back from the Acropolis through the Plaka and Were surprised to be 2 blocks from the hotel! Not one thing

I have stayed here many times. It’s comfortable, clean, close to public transportation to the airport and port, close to the historical sites, close to many eating options, offers an excellent breakfast, and the staff are very friendly. It is excellent value. I will stay there again. That said, I’ve been disappointed in two aspects of my last stays. 1) this time, a new staff member was not knowledgeable of what I regard as essential information for someone working in his capacity; or he failed to back me up, which displayed a lack of loyalty or protection owed his client: me. A taxi driver from the airport was basically trying to rip me off and was refusing to honor the €40 flat fare from the airport to the hotel. The young man at the hotel claimed not to know the rate, or the correct rate; acknowledged that the driver wanted him to side with him as a Greek. I paid the driver the €49 (he had earlier said it would be €60), and since then, I’ve taken it up successfully with the Ministry of Tourism and confirmed everything: daytime until midnight, a €40 flat rate to and from the airport; you are entitled to pay by card (expect shenanigans); and you are entitled to a receipt. Get the license plates (picture is good), keep the receipt (assuming it is “the” receipt) because you’ll need it as evidence for your complaint. The hotel staff claimed the €40 doesn’t include tolls or baggage rate—per the Ministry of Tourism: those cannot be added to the €40 flat rate! And the hotel staff also suggested we were not in the center. Again, the Ministry of Tourism confirmed NLH Kerameikos is in Athens Center for purposes of the €40 flat rate that official taxis are required to honor. Be advised, the hotel has its own arrangement with drivers, which may depart from what would be required of regular taxis. 2) I also expect a hotel to notify me of strikes that will disrupt transportation to the airport and port. This should be done not merely by postings within the hotel itself, but they should send an email to arriving guests. They failed to do that the last time I stayed. As a reviewer, I don’t see or get to respond to what the hotel might say, but here, there should be no reply from them, except “Sorry, we’ll do better next time.” Strike 2.

The view from my balcony was worse than I expected: it faced an overgrown, abandoned lot and the neighborhood didn't feel very nice either.

The team was so friendly and the room and bed were so clean and comfortable. Nothing

breakfast really great the location as well ... really perfect place

It is an excellent hotel. I chose it because it was newly listed on Booking this year. The property is very nice, and the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. However, the hotel did not provide complimentary daily water bottles, and the in-room tea amenities were offered only once upon check-in.

It was modern, clean, and the room I got was spacious with a balcony and a great sunset view. The staff was very friendly. The area is fairly quiet. Minor annoyances, nothing huge. The light switches were non-sensical and picky (a switch by the door and another by the bed did nothing; to shut off one of the main lights you had to hunt for the switch [located on the far side of the room, not by the bed nor the door]; the bathroom switches had to be pressed & held a moment to work). It was warm in the room, but the air conditioner was disabled. Worse, turning on the unit caused it to blow warm air even when the thermostat was set 5-10 degrees below room temperature. Due to the types of blinds on the courtyard windows & the lack of a blind on the bathroom window, the room lets a fair amount of light in once the sun rises. Note that other, smaller rooms can be extremely cramped. Note that the location is a few minutes walk from the better parts of town--it doesn't appear to be a bad area, but you have to walk through a few blocks of run down buildings to get to the busy part of town (not a big deal, just an fyi--and it does prevent "crowd noise" at night).

Excellent hotel! Very clean and modern. Situated at a great and safe location, near the city center and close to many metro stations. We had a wonderful view of the city from the balcony of our room. The staff was also very friendly and helpful The bathroom is a bit small, and as a result the sink is placed outside the bathroom, in the main area of the room.

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

Rooms are a bit small, the sink is in the room and toilets with bath area are very tight. However overall its a good choice to stay up to 3 days vacation

Do not let the abandoned buildings in the immediate area deter you. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and felt very safe, and the location is convenient with many restaurants nearby and a short walk to the Acropolis. Check-in was smooth and I appreciated the off-season room upgrade. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very good overall. The AC was slow and the wall unit would not let me switch it fully to cooling, so the room could feel warm even in December. The Wi-Fi was not very strong or consistent at times. Breakfast was very limited for vegans, so even though it was included in my prepaid reservation, it did not feel like a good value. I also found it awkward that on my fifth morning a staff member asked for my room number for the first time and said he was making sure I paid for breakfast, even though it was already included in my booking.

The hotel was new and generally the staff was helpful. The wifi signal was extremely weak. When I complained about it, the person at reception said that her wifi was working fine, as if it was my fault. I waited until someone new showed up for work and complained again and she acted right away, by contacting someone. There wasn't much change in the wifi bandwidth though, but at least she tried.

Nice and clean The rooms are so small that the bathroom sink was at the front door The location was a bit far from the center but that was my bad I realized that there are 2 Nlh hotels and one of them is closer to the center (monasteraki)

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

The room size was excellent and the breakfast was very good. The shower size was outstanding. The 2 elevators are very very small. The lighting in the bathroom was poor. The location of the hotel was not the best for older persons with mobility issues.
