Courtyard by Marriott Atlantic City Beach Block

We are giving the hotel **3 stars** because we specifically chose it because it was advertised as pet-friendly. However, the **$250 pet fee per stay** was a major disappointment. We feel this fee should be clearly displayed on the main hotel page so guests can make an informed decision before booking. I tried to cancel and book elsewhere but it was less than 24 hours so they didn’t let me cancel the reservation without charging me for the night. Other pet-friendly hotels we have stayed at typically charge around **$50 per stay**, making the $250 fee significantly higher. This was the **only major con of our stay**, but for us, it was a big one. 🐾

The hotel was largely renovated but still a bit dated, especially the bathroom. I had a poor check-in experience due to them switching their system that very day but the staff was very pleasant. The rooms were clean but I wished that they had more amenities - a pool, included breakfast or at least even a paid breakfast area to eat but there really wasn't much to the hotel for amenities.

Thought something was off in the room and then realized that the TV had been ripped from the unit. The room was also hot and found the AC not working along with a pool of water on the floor near it. The front desk team was excellent and eventually moved us to another room but not what we expected based on the Marriott name and cost to stay.

Good hotel. Clean, comfortable beds. Quiet. Good location. Have stayed here a few times.

Air conditioner was turned off from our room and the hallway at 7am. No complimentary coffee or tea. Had to pay for coffee in the morning. Had some pastries for sale in the morning for breakfast that didn’t look fresh. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, or book this hotel ever again.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very updated and clean.

The hotel is clean and the staff is very nice friendly and helpful. It would help if there were air-conditioning in the gym. Also, would be nice if the bistro was hoping in the morning till least 1030.

Love the staff was very welcoming. The accommodating us even if we’re early. Easy to talk to, the hotel is clean and the distance from the board walk. The shower not working properly.

I had a nice stay at the Courtyard. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only issue is that the a/c wasn't working properly. I let the front desk know and I hope it's fixed for the next guest(s). The property is in walking distance to the Boardwalk and lots of restaurants.

The property was close enough to the boardwalk and was clean. Unfortunately they were having some type of issue and right outside my door there was a large fan blowing throughout my stay. At about 1130 pm a blaring noise started coming from smoke detector in our room. Maintenance thought he fixed it , I got no answer from front desk so I had to go downstairs and then we were switched to another room but it was really late by this time.

The Location and staff were Great Only that the Ice machine on my floor didn't work

Our last night there, room beside us left their “service” dog in their room. Barked til midnight. Staff tried to call the owners a few times without luck. Supervisor Mike was good. We would probably try somewhere else next time.

Room was a good size. Elevators a bit slow. Front desk very inconsistent in terms of service. Exercise room was a sauna...we had asked a couple of times to get it fixed...no results. I'd probably stay again if I had too!

The room is a little outdated but nice and clean. Decent area with parking around back. A pet peeve of mine is room temperature control. I run hot and like the air conditioning on high. The thermostat was set and locked and I was unable to change it. On the positive side we checked out right at 11 and made our way to the lobby. It was about 11:02 when we saw the Bistro in the lobby had Starbucks coffee. We decided to get a coffee for the road. Little did we know they had just closed a few minutes ago. The girl at the counter was outstanding. She was kind and helpful as she said our late arrival was no problem. She even made a new pot of coffee for us. No rolling her eyes or attitude just superb customer service. That doesn’t happen too often these days and I wanted to note that in my review.
