Nice room . It wasn’t far to walk to the harbour - about 30 mins .. I was a bit uncertain about location ,first walk outside saw 2 blokes fighting , with a ladies handbag -which made me think they’d stolen it .. Room wasn’t really clean - crumbs in a draw , quite dusty , clearly no one has hoovered under the bed for a while as bottle tops, a lighter .. I’m not obsessively clean and tidy so if I thought a bit grimy .. Bit of an issue with dripping loo at night - why does it sounded louder when you’re about to go to sleep ?!

Good bed. Good location if you are ok with the nightlife and are eating out. Enough options around. Shared bathroom was fine. Can get really noisy with people partying to the early hours and emergency services but that's K Road for you so ear buds or headphones or whatever so not the accommodations fault. TV didn't work and I wanted to watch TV/movies as I paid for a room with a TV so I could do that and after showing reception staff a picture of the cord I needed, they were clueless.

Every time when I need to go to kitchen or out, I have to open 5-7 doors!! Why they need so many doors!! And luggage storage need another 4 NZD…

good location and friendly staff, like the big puplic area and kitchen very much, and they even have their own parking place. the bed i slept seems to be old, when people move ob the bed, there is always noise

We were surprised we had our own bathroom. Beds were comfy and place was clean. There was no heating in the room

Just arrived in Auckland and I made the right choice to be here ! A nice place on K'Road (lots of bars, restaurants and night clubs). The common area is sooo comfy and welcoming with the open kitchen who's really nicely furnished. There is a TV room for a little movie and the bedrooms are cleaned everyday and comfy (was in 8 debs mix dorm). Thank u all for everything

Such a lovely hostel!!! The kitchen and bathrooms are always super clean, but most importantly, the people make the place. There is such a family feel here, and I know so many people who are so loyal to this hostel! It’s a good one!!!

Individual light, plug and curtain on each bed were nice for privacy. Beds were comfy ! The staff was really helpful and friendly + they send some activities to do in Auckland everyday. I’ve met great people in the hostel and it was nice for the beginning of my travels in NZ. It could use more hooks in each bathroom cabin to hang your stuff. You should know it can be noisy during the weekend as it is located on a busy street (K Road), but I didn’t hear anything with my earplugs on.
