The reception/front desk staff were amazing to deal with. They went above on beyond, to make my daughters stay so special- giving her a card and special treat for her birthday. Any request, never seemed like an issue- the staff were just fantastic to deal with. Minibar/snacks section, had half eaten chocolate bar left in it but this wasn’t a big deal-easy to miss and easier for me to throw away.

The scent in the hotel is way too strong. It over powers everything and gave me a headache.

We loved the layout of the room and we loved the bath tub in the room! Also the bed was comfy too. Good location to the main viaduct/britomart/skycity too. Staff were welcoming and lovely- think they were busy tho as they forgot about our bags but they were kind. The staff forgot to bring up our bags to our room:( we waited for 15-20 min and we were needing our bags to get ready for our early dinner so I had to go down to fetch all the bags myself and the security saw me struggle to get the bags on the trolley in the lift and I felt embarrassed as other guests watched me too struggle. The lifts also were quite slow and because of the lift being slow, it nearly made us late to our dinner reservation? Idk why they so slow with the hotel cards.. Also we didn’t like how we didn’t know about any prices of the “mini bar” legit I could not find the prices anywhere even tho they said it was in the drawers next day. Must have been so hidden as my partner and I didn’t know so they took the $ out our bond for the costs of the 2 drinks we consumed. Maybe need to have prices in the fridge? My partner and I came up for our anniversary and we were surprised that the hotel didn’t do any complimentary gestures:( we paid a lot to stay here too so we thought even a nice card or something? But nothing. We just felt like we got a bit ripped off for our anniversary especially even with the valet parking which was also taken off our bond too. The staff are lovely tho don’t get me wrong, just would have been lovely to have felt special on our celebration like most hotels do?
