The staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable and great value for money. The Thai restaurant serves delicious meals. I enjoyed my stay even though it was a business trip.

The hotel is located fairly close to a train station. We didn't want to use the car everyday and this was very convenient. The rooms are small, but big enough for 2 people. Beds were very comfy. The restaurant downstairs is simply AMAZING! Delightful Thai cuisine and the service was great. We wish we would've had the opportunity to dine there more than once. (If you do end up wanting to eat there, make sure to set reservations as it was full most of the nights we were there.) An optional breakfast is served for 10 Euros per person per morning. You have to let them know in advance how many people will be eating and at what time. I personally ate there every morning because it felt like great value. There was some baguette, croissants, pastry, cheeses, eggs, etc... with some orange juice and coffee/tea. The breakfasts were generous and tasty every morning. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and serviceable. The mini fridges in both rooms we booked were not working properly. The lights in the bathroom turn on via motion sensors. Not sure if this was the case with the other room, but in our room the lights kept turning off while we were in the shower. The fix was simply to open the shower door. This was a mild annoyance.

Lack of hot water for shower ; Lack of towels for douche ;

The room and hotel are nicely updated and very comfortable. My host was friendly and welcoming upon arrival, even with a last-minute booking. I was not able to dine in the Thai restaurant at street level, though it looked and smelled delicious. I will surely be back to stay again.

We decided to use this hotel as an alternative to the (somewhat soul-less) Charlerois airport hotels. It is only a 15 minute drive from the airport and contrary toe Charleroi city centre, parking is free here. Our room looked good and clean. The shower was nice and so was our breakfast. Auvelais is a small town, but there are several restaurants to choose from. All in all, we had a nice and comfortable night here. Just a minor detail, but we had absolutely no idea how to lock our hotel room door. Aside from that, there is really nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was good. Very small room and small bed.

The town is quiet and nice. The lady that is in charge of the property was responsive and quick to help us fix one of the issues with the shower, that being the reason for giving it a 6. Most of the stuff in the room is either broken either about to break. The bathroom is very small, almost impossible to shower comfortably. I would not say the price is great to compensate for all that.

Decent value for money. Even though the "no disturb" sign was hang outside the room, the cleaning personell entered every day.

Excellent Thai restaurant linked to the hotel. The hotel was also very understanding when we had to cut our stay short after the first night because of a problem at home. There was no actual reception at the hotel, so we should have been informed of the means of access to the hotel and room before we arrived rather than being surprised by a locked door. We had to phone the owner to get instructions.

It was basic and ok. The stairs to the rooms were dangerous.

Small but comfy, ik provides everything you need, good value for the money. Tasty breakfast. And the dinner in their restaurant was just delicious ! N/A

Great bed (a bit on the harder side, just like I like it), quiet neighborhood, shampoo & soap provided. I can imagine the stairs to the second floor can be hard to negotiate for those less fit.
