Wonderful atmosphere, very nice and tasty breakfast, helpful and sympathetic staff. Good location. Also city Avanos is pleasant to stay, much less commercial than Göreme. If you want to have air condition, here ain’t any. For us it was fine without ‘cause in the end of September nights in Cappadocia are getting cold.

The hotel was at a great location, and loved the aesthetics and hospitality. The hotel was very helpful in helping us book tours as well. Highly recommended. WIFI signal strength, Fan/AC

Nicely decorated and organized cave hotel in Avanos. It is in the heart of the city. Close to Capadocia and all fantastic locations. Bathroom faucets must be replaced.

The location was fantastic. We were in the centre of town with restaurants, shops, the river, walks in the hills behind, and so much more. The atmosphere of living in cultural architecture of hundreds and hundreds of years ago was awesome. The hotel was quaint, quirky and atmospheric. The family run hotel was great value. Breakfast each morning was a Mediterranean feast. The family were friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a warm experience. They also arranged a couple of the tours we wanted to experience which was very convenient. The family's niece was helping out on site. She was delightful, funny and readily assumed the responsibility of tasks that needed doing. And spoke English. The hotel did my laundry which was super convenient. They allowed me to use the dining room so I could work in the evenings at my computer, which was truly appreciated. If the desk person spoke more English, communication would have been easier. But we both managed the work around using translation apps and her brother on speed dial. The TV was not working. On the last day of the one week stay we were able to get it going ourselves. Anything I could say as a negative, as you can see , is minor, petty, and certainly did not impact our stay negatively.

The location, the setting and the decor. everything was great

almost everything is perfect: location, room, staff, breakfast only one thing: the WiFi signal was fine just outside the room but inside it was weak (I guess because of the wall)

Everything !!!! Nothing

A fantastic building, great service, and friendly staff. I will definitely choose Terracota if I happen to go to Nevsehir again. The wooden floors in our room were crackling; and that was the only unpleasant thing in the hotel.

The best part of this hotel is the staff. Terracota Hotel is a family-run operation and therefore feels more like you're visiting an old friend's house rather than staying at the hotel. The property is really charming, well-located right in the Old Town of Avanos. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby and the hotel staff are really helpful in helping to organize airport transportation, activities, etc. Also, daily breakfast is amazing - literally feels like you're being treated like royalty by your hosts. Our room was just ok. We booked an economy room (on the ground floor) and while it was extremely clean, there were a few hiccups: - the power outlets near the beds were non-functional - one of the room lights hanging from the ceiling didn't work (this is already a somewhat dark room (cave-style) - the shower head mount was non-functional (didn't hold its position when raised to head level) and got the entire bathroom wet when using Minor things - but considering the price, still excellent value for money!

Sezer and his sister who run the property are excellent. Very helpful and responsive to every need. The breakfast was fabulous. The stay felt like home. There can be more space to keep stuff in the bathroom. Hooks are needed to hang clothes as well as shelves to keep soap, shampoo etc in the shower.

Outstanding in all aspects. Cleanliness meets Japanese standards, room was if superior quality as was the breakfast. Kind and hospitable owner. Come here and see for yourself!

We loved the breakfast! Arranged a balloon booking at a reasonable price for us. Location in the old town was super! Very welcoming and accommodating host. Semi-broken shower and faulty electrical outlets.

Located in the old town of Avanos, this hotel is centrally located for visiting Cappodocea. We stayed five nights. The staff arranged drivers with and without guides for several trips without us having to book far in advance. After the first guided tour, we set up other visits based on what we learned the first day. The hotel is beautiful, with lots of local character. It is a family business run by a brother and sister, both of whom are very kind and will do everything needed to give you a very comfortable stay. Breakfast is very nice and nicely presented. The owner speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese, and of course, Turkish. I can't think of anything that needs to be improved.

Great place to feel like a sultan - many thanks to Ülker and her family for the amazing hospitality;-)

The hotel is a family owned and run hotel who embrace hospitality like it was their only purpose in life. The entire family has the nicest bunch of people I have ever met who tried to meet every request that we made including one of arranging a table fan for our room ?. Terracota Hotel in Cappadoccia had the best breakfast of my entire trip to Turkey and mind you the other places had some great breakfasts too, but hands down terracota is the clear winner. The breakfast I am told was also prepared by the family itself and let me assure you, for me their breakfast is an independent memory and highlight (we had a very happy tummy every morming). The room furniture (part of it such as beds etc) I was told is also done by hand within the family. Now thats commitment! Respect to the family who made us feel like we were home too. Not that I did not like anything but please be aware that this is a family house turned hotel so there are no elevators and AC's (yet), hence if you are one who has a problem climbing a flight of stairs then this will be hard fought. Also I was told Cappadoccia experiences summer for roughly 45 days a year for which fitting an AC is not very practical. However I would strongly recommend atleast table fans to counter the summer heat as gueats visitimg in the summer will not really consider the short duration of summer ?

The location was convenient, close to the town main square, bars and restaurants. The facilities are lovely and clean and have the particular 'rock' theme from the region . The staff is also very helpful and warm all the time. The breakfast was very good as well. The room got pretty hot and there was no fan or AC

Very nice and kind owners. Helped a lot about arranging hot air balloon trip, transfers and advised different attractions. Hotel is not big but very comfortable with a nice atmosphere and style.we have stayed in a family room and completely enjoyed it. Breakfast was very nice. Very close to Göreme center- just 10 min by taxi.
