We stayed 4 nights at HaciAşik Konaği Hotel in Avanos (Cappadocia) Turkey. This was our second stay at this hotel. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we didn’t hesitate to come back again. We prefer staying in Avanos over Goreme because it has a more casual, laid back feel with plenty of options for eating and casual walking. It’s only a few miles from the touristy area of Goreme. The staff at HaciAşik Konaği was very friendly and accommodating. They made our stay perfect! Our room was lovely. Very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good with a variety of Turkish cheese, spreads, fresh fruit, and delicious hot items. We rented a car for this trip and they have plenty of parking. We highly recommend staying at the HaciAşik Konaği Hotel. We can’t wait to return!

The room is very clean. The mattress was comfortable. The staffs were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb with a spread that includes homemade marmalade, eggplant jam, gozleme, borek, eggs, and fruit. And unlimited tea or coffee. Served in the garden. It’s really the highlight of our morning. Location is within a short walking distance to city center. It is also a short drive to watch the hot air balloons launch, which Cappadocia is known for. Our room was on the upper floor so water pressure in the shower was not that great but it’s not a deal breaker for us because everything else was perfect.

This hotel is in a terrific location -a short, pleasant walk from the centre and close to the river. There is plenty of car parking available. The owners and personnel we interacted with were lovely, polite and caring. Each morning we were asked if we needed anything for our room - we did not, but at this point if you would like your room to be cleaned this is the time to ask for it. Breakfast was good too but could be improved with the inclusion of some fresh fruit. Our room was very comfortable - we really enjoyed being there. The shower was excellent - plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The central heating was managed well - our room was a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. We looked forward to returning to this room after each day of sightseeing. I would suggest to the owners that they put room dimensions in the room specifications. This would help potential guests to assess room suitability more accurately. We travelled with friends who booked a room with a double and single bed - they usually sleep separately. The photographs of this room made it look bright, spacious and opulent. In reality the room was pleasant but smaller and darker than had been suggested in the photographs. They were extremely disappointed with the room and very upset, especially as we were spending 4nights here. In the end they opted to change rooms and share a double bed in a brighter room with a better aspect. All this upset could have been avoided if the room dimensions were made available before booking.

The extraordinary kindness of the two women (sisters, perhaps?) who manage this boutique hotel stands out above all else in any recollection of our "cave" hotel. My wife's inability to climb stairs resulted in immediate calls on our arrival to other guests to relocate us to the single ground-floor room at the moment. They likewise brought her breakfast, and looked out for her every need in the midst of a bustling morning buffet. During the three days we spent at Avanos, the town closed off vehicle access to the hotel in order to repave the central street, but the owners did everything they could to find us ways around the blockade. Although the property is in the process of converting an old stone building into a modern hotel, the completed rooms are well-lit and spacious, with high, vaulted ceilings, king-size beds, a massive couch nearly as wide as the room, and a full bathroom with an excellent shower. The breakfast room down below the main building also has a number of extra tables set out beneath the trees; the garden leading to the river also opens onto a river walk that brings a wheelchair visitor to nearby restaurants. After touring the underground cave cities and "fairy chimneys" of Cappadocia, we would sit in the garden, savouring a beer at the end of the day, and clicking through our growing album of photos. Anticipating our every need, our hosts were always quick to bring an ash tray for my wife, to lay out a tablecloth, and to offer plates of fruit and cheese to the rest of our party. The only drawback to this property is also part of its charm, located as it is at the bottom of a steep and narrow cobblestone lane running down to the river. The town may have made a visitor's stay difficult by deciding to pave the main road two weeks before the end of tourist season in late October, but the fault is hardly that of the hosts.

This place is great and peaceful. There is a garden and they work hard to keep it beautiful. Breakfast is nice with slight different food every morning, sometimes include fresh fruits from the garden. The room is specious, clean and comfy. Well equipped. One lovely puppy and two cats made our stay more joyful.

The location is literally 2-3 min on walking distance from the riverside The building is amazing, lots of history, tiny but perfect in size, very clean, if you are a yoga lover , there are several places where you can practice your yoga as well as meditation. Workers are very friendly and the property cares about animals. They have cats and a dog and the garden is full of fruit trees which is amazing. Their breakfast is just perfect if you don’t like exaggerations. Fresh food and quality products. Parking is available. 1 min from the main road.

We liked the location. Safe and quite, away from noisy Goreme. Good accomodations, excellent breakfast and coisy garden. Nothing.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. It has a garden with fruit trees, lots of birds signing, which makes it feel like you’re in the countryside. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, it’s the perfect spot. The room was clean and matched the description (WiFi works well). The staff was welcoming (none spoke English but they used a web translator to answer questions). A mama cat with her 4 kittens and a puppy named Findik were always around, welcoming guests, and gave it a special homely touch.

The renovated family property has been tastefully furnished and is very comfortable. The Garden terrace for delicious and plentiful breakfasts was a very pleasant. Perhaps advise guests that the upstairs rooms have lots of stairs to climb - It’s fine on arrival when someone is there to help with suitcases, but when leaving early in the morning it can be difficult for older guests. Also, for guests who like milk in their Tea, they would appreciate the real thing, not powdered whitener. When I asked, milk was happily provided, but only for 2 days of the 4.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and fully recommend! Firstly the room itself was clean, spacious and looked incredible with a lovely view, and the aesthetics throughout the whole property are some of the best we have seen. The town is just a five minute walk from the hotel and much quieter and potentially nicer than goreme. The hotel may not be carved into the side of the beautiful landscape of goreme, however the serenity and tranquility of the area away from the instagrammers is a welcomed addition. This being said goreme and all the tourist attractions are a 15 minute drive away and easily accessible so you really do get the best of both worlds. The family that run the hotel are lovely and dealt with any questions we had in a friendly manner and the breakfast is amazing accompanied by some very cute animals!

Amazing cute little place. The rooms are super clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the local breakfast experience in the morning. The staff is very helpful and sweet Maybe just the location, as it is away from the touristy places in Goreme. However, we enjoyed the quite area
