A lovely building in a perfect location in this charming little town. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice but it was quite pricey. Our room was tired and outdated. It was a need of a full redecorate and the furniture was very poor. There was no wardrobe just a curtain. It felt like a budget room. After an 8 hour drive we wanted to use the pool which is supposed to be available til 8 pm but the receptionist told us he was going to lock it at 6.30 as he finished work at 7. It was explained to us that the hotel is under new management and is in the process of being renovated but some of the bedrooms hadn’t been done yet. The lady was apologetic and keen for us to return. I feel that as there were so few people in the hotel we should have been given a better room.

Hotel was ideally placed for visiting Ay. Gaille had been very helpful before the trip providing information and helping make bookings. Lucy was equally helpful when we there both in terms of knowledge of the area and places to visit and also good knowledge about champagne. the courtyard behind the hotel was beautiful to sit out in during the afternoon and evenings. Hotel was clean with good facilities. The garage provided good safe parking for the car. nothing we didn't like

When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very nice and much bigger than we were expecting.

Swimming pool amazing. work being done b On the hotel but didn't interrupt us. Was really welcoming, safe and comfortable. Much enjoyed. Rooms a little dated but it looks like they are working on modernising it.

Grand old building with real elegance and style. The staff are also exceptionally friendly and helpful. The parking garage is superb for those that like to securely park their motors. The lack of a restaurant is a minor inconvenience, however once you accept this, the local spots more than make up.

Castel Jeanson is a very charming old building in the heart of the Champagne. Ideal starting place for discovering Champagne and Champaign. Staff is extremely friendly and travelling families are very warmly welcomed. The breakfast room was a little too small and crowded for my taste, but I am aware that you have to adapt to the realities of an historic building. Missed a cappuccino, as I don't drink black coffee.
