Hotel Vista Laguna Bacalar

The views of the Bacalar Lagoon from most areas of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and definitely the highlight of the stay. The property is a 45 minute Walk from town. It’s somewhat difficult and time-consuming to get into town, though taxis make it easy enough to get back. Okay if you have a car. One big plus is that the hotel can arrange tours directly from their dock, which makes lagoon excursions very convenient. On the downside, we experienced poor water pressure, and the amenities are quite basic. It’s a charming spot for the scenery, but don’t expect high-end comforts. If we had a car we would stay here again

Although we didnt have any issues, II would have liked for the bedroom doors to feel more secure

perfect view on the lagoon, entrance to that same lagoon, place to park our car, nice pool, breakfast was very good, always 2 choices, fruit or daily menu, price was good for what we got. Bacalar is a must visit, but if pool & lagoon entrance isn't a necessity then I would have chosen a hotel in the city center next to the highway, including trucks 24/7 lacks some maintenance here and there, for example, the plastic cover of the power outlet missed, the water pressure was low and the painter could do some work here

In front of the lagoon. Balcony and not far from town Very hard to lock the door, the door to balcony extremely hard to open-close, broken safe box. The room they assigned for us was very small, dark and no lake view, the beds barely fit the room leaving no space for anything. We ended up having to pay about $150 US to upgrade to one of the two rooms facing the Lake. The pool has way too much chlorine so we only got in it once.

The location was great! The beds were super comfortable and the pool was great for our kids!! We are not use to the heat and it seems the AC was not able to maintain the cool atmosphere.

Bacalar is gorgeous and the hotel has a nice view and access to the lake. Staff was very nice and helpful and loved that there was complimentary breakfast.

Nothing I did

The towels were and looked too old. The space between the two double beds was too narrow. The curtains in the shower didn't work well. The water splashed the whole bathroom. The air conditioning was leaking and wet the bed, so we had to move to other bedroom . The pool it wasn't too clean.

The staff are nice and friendly the view is nice but the hotel does need work. Rooms are too expensive for me there is no closet nor are they clean. Balcony needs work seems like it’s been years since they cleaned the installations. This is nothing like the pictures needs a lot of attention and maintenance

Good location Swim right off a dock into the lagoon Cold at night, just a sheet to keep warm. Zero water pressure No hot water Kitchen cooktop did not work and there were no pans or plates not even a microwave

The staff was really friendly. It will better to have more amenities on the lagoon.

Everyone did their best to help when you have questions and not bothered you and left you with your own space, no bother bothered you

Nice and comfy beds Didn’t have clean premises, some insects in the kitchen, toilet didn’t have toilet seat, breakfast was cold

The food options. Maybe because I had a different perspective of meals, would've payed more if there would've been maybe a small buffet then just 2 servings for a set menue for breakfast. So I did ended buying meals of the menue... Other then that everything was great. Still give this place a 10/10
