Friendly family hotel with lots of charm. Clean, comfortable, quiet room about a block from train station and two blocks from Lake. Beautiful leafy walkable town. This is a place and hotel that I would love to come back to so as to stay a month.

5 min walk to the free public beach and railway station. They let us to move to air conditioned room based on our request. Breakfast was good. We could use pool even in the evening. We loved that sauna was available for 24 hours. 2 balconies in the both end of the corridor. Facilities and our room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and polite. We left our luggage after check out for several hours. You can drink beer in the fresh air right outside. 2 rooms that we saw didn't have mosquito net.

Exceptional

The rooms are nice and comfortable, the location is great, plenty of space for parking. In addition, we always feel welcomed by the staff who are polite, always smiling, and make sure that we feel at home. The breakfast selection is copious and nice - yet, I would have appreciated somewhat more healthy options on the breakfast table (more fruits, vegetables, cereals, whole wheat bread/pastries etc) and somewhat better quality ingredients (100% orange juice, jams from the upper shelf etc.). They nevertheless deserve a plus for the great coffee.

First the manager was so welcoming and helpful. He couldn't do enough for us. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well equipped, looking out onto the garden. Breakfast was good, with fresh eggs being cooked to your liking. The area is very pleasant, less than 5 minutes walk to the lake. The train station is also a short walk away, we caught the train into Budapest from there.

The outer building and garden was my favourite. The furniture was a little worn out but clean.

The location, the surrounding, the building was wery nice. The breakfast was also super good. All in all, it is to be recommended. There was a weird smell in the room and the bathroom was not entirely clean.

The location is great, next to the Balaton lake. The hotel is situated in a great old building, with a lot of potential. The apartment we received was really dirty. Huge spiders were wondering around, in the room, bathroom. The lingerie seemed not changed, it was hair in the bed, on the pillows. The air conditioning was really noisy and did not cover the whole apartment. Even more, in standby mode, was doing some regular noise at each minute. Due to the fact that the air conditioning was not efficient, we needed to sleep with the windows open. Next to the mosquitos entering the room (the windows had no insects protection nets), around 10:30 PM, in the bar across the street, some party started and the music kept us awake till around 2 AM. The hotel has on the paper 4 stars, but I would rate it with 2 stars. A very expensive 2 stars hotel. It was an experience that, for sure, I will never repeat.
