After being greeted (well not really greeted) by a very sullen staff member, I am happy to say that my experience with the staff improved. They were friendly, answered questions, and were very helpful in bringing me a glass of hot water for a drink when I asked, providing a kettle (only on the third night!), and fixing the electricity when it went out. However, considering that the hotel provided sachets of hot drink powder and tea bags in the room, I shouldn't have had to have asked for hot water - there should have been a kettle in there. And, when they did provide a kettle, it didn't work. Also, the electricity should not have gone out in the first place. Your experience here depends on the attitude and expectations that you enter with. It's pretty cheap, and so the accommodation reflects that. There was no hot water. There was no toilet paper. It was dirty, there were some sort of animal droppings on the ledge in side my room. I made the mistake of looking under the bed when I dropped something - Ahh! it was filthy and there were someone else's socks under there! The window in my room went to an internal corridor on the first floor and the curtains didn't fully cover it. The lighting in the room (when the electricity was on!) was poor.
