The Tivoli Hotel

We were looking for a low budget location for 1 night in BKK, family friendly and fun area (lumpini), it matched our needs. hotel is clean but of older interiours, 7eleven & drugstore, foodstands and restaurants right out of the hotel. 1h taxi ride to BKK airport. no breakfast options but there is GRAB (food delivery) or options around the hotel available.

No swimming pool

The location, its close to the metro and to restaurants, 7-11 and bars… very convenient The bedding had lots of stains that clearly hadn't been washed, the walls were dirty, and the bathroom had mold.

The location is good with lots of restaurants nearby. The pool is nice. Big spacious rooms. Good AC They really need to get decent wifi. I had a couple of small things to but it was so unreliable and slow, doesn’t seem to reach many rooms. Wasted slot of time because of this. It’s a quiet run down (the lobby picture is a bit deceiving).

The Aircon in the room was broken. So no AC for the night… also we did not have Wifi in the room. The shelf at the kitchen was really dusty and disgusting. Probably noone stayed for so long so there was noone to clean.

Value for money place. No complaints really as this place has its own ups and downs like everywhere else. I had the superior en suit room. Room was huge. Cleaning service and clean sheets provided for every day. Metro, busses and shops in 15 min walk. 7/11 and restuarants right across the street. Roof pool is almost always empty. Huge wardrobe. Dust and dirt under the bed, as no one has ever cleaned there probably. The balcony is tiny and has the view on the main street. Beds are hard if this is important to you. Fridge is small. No kettle.

Simple hotel for a reasonable price. Has all the facilities that you would need for a couple of nights. Room was big enough and the swimming pool area was a nice addition. Rooms were simple and not too comfortable, but okay for a few nights and nothing unexpected considering the price. Beds were not very comfortable and there was some mold on the ceiling around the AC. We did have a problem on our 3rd night (out of 4) as the AC started leaking lots of fluid. This occured around 2 AM and created a big puddle in the room. We approuched the front desk and they send someone to look at it, but when he had finished about an hour later, the problem turned out not to be resolved. As the AC started leaking again, we requested a different room, to which we moved around 4 AM. We had to pack all our stuff and move our bags in the middle of the night and after this we could finally try to get some sleep. We did ask the front desk for a refund for one night, as we did not have good night and could only sleep for a few hours. They did not want to compensate us in any way and said that offering us a different room was enough to resolve the problem. Everything considered, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Of course this was just a bad experience for us and if we did not have any problems with the AC, our review would be a lot more positive. I do suspect however, that this problem occurs more often, because the front desk immediately knew what the problem was and seeing the damaged floor and moldy ceilings in the room, there must be more problems with leakage.

The location is amazing you have restaurants, laundries and everything you need in the middle of Bangkok for a good price, they clean your room everyday and provide water Nothing, everything is amazing, maybe just be aware that there is no microwave in the hotel

The Rooms were Huge for the price. Was surprised by this. Good value for money. The bed was comfortable. Check in staff friendly. The lifts were we extremely noisy. Could here other guests doors banging All night, so sleep was not so Good No service at the Pool area. No towels at the pool area. As Genius members we did not get Our Welcoming drink.
