Best Western Chatuchak

Dear General Management, I am writing to formally address a staggering display of incompetence by your Front Office on July 27, 2026, which derailed what should have been a seamless check-in for three pre-arranged rooms . It is entirely beyond comprehension that your reception staff refused my team's check-in based on a trivial phonetic discrepancy between the Thai and English spelling of a last name . Rather than exercising elementary problem-solving—such as verifying the explicitly updated guest names readily available in your Back Office or the Booking.com interface—your team chose to paralyze the process . To compound this ineptitude, your staff had the audacity to make excuses and blame me, a frequent monthly guest, for "misspelling" a name that perfectly matches my passport and official documents . This gross negligence forced my personal intervention at 21:30, reflecting a shockingly low standard of service and a complete lack of responsibility . Furthermore, your staff's refusal to contact the General Manager during this crisis is completely unacceptable . In any establishment of repute, executive management must remain accessible (on-call) when operational staff fail so fundamentally in their problem-solving duties . This is not an isolated incident; it is your second severe operational failure . Previously, I graciously removed a 1-star review at the pleading of your Front Office Manager after a prior booking was inexplicably canceled on the day of arrival . Please be assured that such unwarranted leniency will not be extended again . Your team’s inability to learn from past errors exposes a deeply entrenched lack of professionalism. Sincerely,

Clean Walk too far to reach the room

The location was great, a few minutes walk away to the MRT (Khampaeng Phet, BL12) and Chatuchak Weekend Market. The room was on a small side but there was enough spaces for our moderate-sized luggage and backpacks. You can see Bangkok skyline as well. The hotel's lobby is on the 6th floor, so the rooms are 6th and higher. The lower floors, I believe, are for Best Western's budget hotel. I found the bed to be too hot for me. Not sure if it was a memory foam bed or something else. The firmness was good but it fills the contour of the body so well.

Shower should have a door.

I was stunned that because a bit of my makeup spilled and wiped it with the hotel towel they charged me money. Foundation does easily wash out.

Wonderful location and spacious room with large window!

Purposely chose the hotel to visit Chatuchak Weekend Market. It was about 10 minutes walk to the nearest entrance of the market. The hotel was quite spacious so we can open our big luggages without complaining. There is a massage spa nearby which was very convenient so we can take the last session and then head straight to our room. All in all a pleasant experience.

Too much noise from outside at night.

It was good though the lobby needs AC. To reach chatuchak, we had to walk around to avoid a construction. They should have considered to provide a shorter and more convenient path.

Very clean and great breakfast The windows do not close tight, so the noise from the heavy road traffic makes it hard to sleep. Since the hotel is new, the conszruction company should do the adjustments to keep the noise out.

Solid location. Large clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Pretty basic room. No frills or decorations in the room. The hotel bar was rarely open. The hotel restaurant was decent. If you've stayed in a Best Western in the US, this is pretty on par for their normal offerings except that it's in a high rise so you get some pretty cool views. I guess I thought it would be better somehow based on other reviews.

Near a BTS stop and a good market and places to eat near by. There is a botanical garden and park nearby which I visited in the morning and was beautiful. Place is clean and moderns near Mochit bus station and 20 mins from Don M airport. Good place to crash. No swimming pool and gym. Stairs and a lot of steps to your room. Staff is ambivalent , got some cold stares when I asked for public transportation but this may just be a language barrier - staff was good to interact with. Place is quite far from any tourist place in Bangkok and is mostly just to crash for a night or 2.
