Villa de Khaosan

My room was second floor street facing, there was a lot of motorcycle/street noise.

very friendly & helpful staff. Great location for main attractions such as temples & grand palace. Good size room. Good roof top bar & pool with views over the city. Very close to handy shops such as 7-11for drinks, snacks etc. Good breakfast with a good range of items. Solid wifi - no problems connecting to the internet Not a lot of storage in the room - we had to live out of the suitcase as very little available for hanging clothes etc. Bar & food service stopped at 8pm so we always had to leave the hotel for food/drinks at night & large room windows - good for light & the view but would have been better with net curtains for privacy

The room was clean and staff were friendly. Walking distance to khao san road. The construction was very loud and disruptive. The rooftop pool was closed so the only option they offered was to use the pool at their other hotel, a 10 minute walk away

Room is tiny - no room for suitcases even. We were basically climbing over our suitcases to get around. Front desk staff could be a bit more friendly as it seemed I was incoveniencing them each time I had to talk to them. Might be a cultural issue but most other Thai folks were very friendly.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience of our lives. The pool was closed even though it was advertised, and there was basically no usable swimming pool at all. The bed sheets smelled terrible and were clearly dirty. The towels looked like they had been used for more than 10 years — old, stained, and disgusting. We asked multiple times for the sheets and towels to be changed, but nobody responded or cared. The entire staff was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the stay. The worst part happened during checkout. After we complained at the reception about the dirty condition of the room, the staff started recording videos of me and my wife while we were talking to them. When the argument escalated because of that behavior, they even called the police on us. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had in any hotel. Completely unacceptable. Save your money and never go to this place.

Location, friendly staff, rooftop pool. Pool closed at 8:00 pm, so was nearly impossible to use if you left during the day and had dinner…there was NO ROOM SERVICE, the breakfast ended too early, the coffee was of low quality…so, we left to a cafe down the street for better tasting coffee. The pool bar was closed for our 5 night stay, and while the staff was friendly, they provided little support beyond check in/out. For taxi service, it was illegal to pull in front of the hotel for pick up, and, two of our taxis received driving violations during our 5 night stay…it was always stressful trying to catch a ride. They need to arrange something with the local authorities.

The property was very good located if yoh want to be by khal san but in inside the crazyness, 7/11 less than a minute walk, and convenient location to have everything around you. The inside was pretty and calm but since is in khao san there is very strong weed smell out the hotel.

The hotel offers a good balance between price and quality. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom, although the shower drain didn’t work perfectly and water tended to stay there for a while after showering. The bed was comfortable, and both the towels and bedding were fresh and clean. The windows seemed well soundproofed, but noise from neighboring rooms could still be heard through the doors and walls. The rooftop pool was definitely a nice addition, though a few more sunbeds would make it even better. We tried the breakfast once — it was fine, nothing special. The location is excellent, right in the center next to Khaosan Road, and despite the loud nightlife outside, the noise didn’t reach the room at all.

Walking distance to the imperial palace and main temples. The reception staff ordered an airport taxi for us that was cheaper than Bolt (500 Bhat incl. highway fee) and it came exactly on time. 7-Eleven and a pharmacy, 2 min walk from the hotel. Khaosan is quite dirty and smelly. The accessibility with public transport is very bad, so you will need a taxi to get back to the hotel. Breakfast was the same everyday.
