Clean comfortable and incredible value

Simple clean room, easy to find and nice, quiet neighborhood. Close to mall. Far from market, far from nightlife and far from parks.

Definitely mixed reviews on this one. It's a cheap hotel that looks like, and is run like, a cheap hotel. Overall I had a good stay, but there are some issues. Pros: it's very good value for Bangkok. The room has a good bed, good linens and pillows, the shower works well, there's a nice big fridge, the room is fairly bright, it's quiet, there are places to hang clothes and a wet towel, and the internet is very reliable. On the negative side, the room was definitely in need of a facelift, and was quite dirty. There's mold on the bathroom ceiling, and real filth on the headboard and under the bed (pictures attached). The hotel doesn't offer bag storage before or after checkout. It's only possible to have one device connected to the wifi at a time—I was solo so it was OK, but it would be a real inconvenience if there were two of you. They charge an additional fee if you pay by credit card, which in general would be OK but they slipped it in when I was checking in despite my having asked about it online earlier. There's a non-negotiable 500 baht deposit due in cash at check-in, which is a nuisance if you're leaving the country the next day as I was and didn't want an extra 500 baht. There are a lot of rules and a lot of "DON'T DO THIS" sort of notices all over the property, which suggests they have get an unruly sort of guest, or simply don't trust their guests. Some of the staff were friendly enough, but a few were very standoffish and distant. So in summary, if you're OK not expecting much it's quite a decent place to stay, and despite the issues I mentioned I didn't have any real issues and had a fine stay. But I'm not sure why so many people have given it such a high rating.

This is really a good value for the money. You get a huge fridge, and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on anywhere in the world. It's a perfect combination of hard and soft. Plus wonderful pillows. Attractively decorated. Clean, relatively quiet. I think for me it would be a little too loud to do remote work during the day because I can hear the road a little, but not bad. Gets quieter at night. Also you are close to the Mall Lifestore at Bangkapi via the canal boat pier, just a very short walk from the hotel to the pier. (Go left on the boat to get to the mall, go right to city center.) Many good restaurants on 3rd floor. And from the mall connect to the MRT. Other very cheap markets near there. Kind staff and good service. Great elevator. Multiple convenience stores on the hotel street, very close laundromat. Late night sushi restaurant down the block. Hotel offers discounted rates if you sign a long-term resident contract. Another thing to mention is that this hotel is close to many fun family parks like Safari World zoo, Chocolateville, an amusement park with rides, and a Mini-pig cafe. Pretty far to go to city center and other tourist stuff (but still doable) A little noisy during day Not exciting restaurants on hotel street not much sidewalk on hotel street Canal boat stops around 7pm, so it is long walk back if you miss it.

Location was difficult to find at first time. Nothing much to see around.

The room, bed and bedding were immaculately clean and exceptionally comfortable. The staff were incredibly patient and helpful and consistently went the extra mile to ensure that the needs of foreigners were clearly understood. The location is also highly accessible by various modes of transportation—Wat Klang Pier is just a short walk away, and from there, you can easily reach Pratunam Pier in about 40–45 minutes, with the Platinum Fashion Mall located nearby. Just a few steps away, you can also enjoy a Thai massage and other services from highly skilled therapists. Without a doubt, this hotel provides outstanding value for money.
