The Mangkoro is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Yogyakarta, offering a budget friendly accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free wi-fi and free private parking that designed for short or long trips. The smart TV in the room did not work.

Large room. Heaps of furniture to put stuff on and wardrobe. They let us use the fridge and there’s free water by pool. I would suggest maybe offering to clean the room after a couple days and refill tissue / coffee etc. Pool needs loungers in the sun otherwise it’s just kind of an open room under the shade you sit in a chair. Other guests & their children that were screaming and playing til 11pm and up again being loud at 6am. Staff should have a noise policy or remind guests of it if they do as they were around. Also there’s a mosque speaker literally next door so you are woken at 5am most mornings unless you’re use to it, out of their control obviously :)

Arrive there by 2.am, i drove 5 hours with 2 kids only to know that they cancel my booking without any notice by phone, email or through booking.com. Just simply said they already gave the room to other guess bcoz it was a long weekend, many tourist, not even saying sorry or admited that they did mistake. So i was in jogja hunting for hotels with 2 kids at 2.30 am.... not easy to get it was long weeekend. No, you cannot get any guarantee here even your booking is conformed and guaranteed by credit card. Poor and stupid management. You better find other hotel. It was a poor poor system, poor management. Booked, confirmed, and payment guaranteed by credit card. The staff is just amazing. Specially Rehan and Erindra. They are very open to organize a cake as a surprise for my birthday. The services and bed very comfortable As an idea it would be nice to maybe ask if you have an special diet for breakfast

Staff was very friendly and quite helpful though. Room aircon is good. Bathroom is decent. Food was decent.

The house itself is in Javanese style, perfectly maintained and perfectly clean with so many details from carvings to object. We were incredibly lucky to say in such extraordinary place. Everything was good.

it is very clean, floor, furniture, windows, and decoration really make you feel like you stayed at a rich family house in the past. everything is classic, but they have a good modern mattress and pillows, good aircon, good hot water in the bathroom, hairdryer. something you should not get with that low rate they are offering. this is my 2nd stay at this property, before it has a good breakfast, maybe because of the pandemic, there's no restaurant, no cafe, no kitchen. they only have water dispenser, cold and hot. so if you need a cup of tea, you should buy outside. hope they can open the restaurant again.

I salute their effort to create a traditional atmosphere. The furniture is legit. But the room isn’t furnished much. That’s ok though for the price point. Staff were very hospitable. Toilet felt clean which is very important. The buffet breakfast consisted of quite a large variety of food, but not done very well and end up getting exposed to flies as they couldn’t make sure the guests keep the lids closed. They could do better by having less variety and focus one a few simple but delicious meals.
