Bathroom was entirely too small with a very low toilet. Hard to get into and to close the door. The sink area was open to the room which provided no privacy.

Expedia did not inform me that the hotel was under construction. The view from my room was of several piles of dirt and the whole area being dug up for a pool. I was not informed that there was no pool available and no breakfast room because that was also under construction. There were plenty of rooms available on the other side to put me instead of putting me with the piles of dirt. There are no microwave in the rooms at all anymore. I will say the room was very clean and very comfortable. I would not recommend a stay here until the construction is done.

The hotel itself is great. They are, however, currently under construction. There is not currently a pool. Our room was adjacent to the construction so there was some noice and the view was a dirt hole. Other than that, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was under construction . Rooms were nice just courtyard not usable and construction starting at 9.30 am - for just a room would be fine - old style design where the rooms are directly accessible from sidewalk and parking lot

There was no breakfast available as stated on the website due to renovations. Coupons were offered. The staff was very friendly and professional. Room and common areas clean and tidy. Nice location. It would have been nice to have the included breakfast on site.

The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. They were under construction there was no pool or no breakfast and we did not know that until we got there and we had our grandkids

The hotel is actually a motel (misleading description by Booking.com) a bit out of town, our car in front of the room. Our room was on the ground floor, with big windows so we needed the curtains down when in the room. Since these were light blocking, we sat in the dark for 3 days. Beds comfortable, bathroom updated and clean. Banner Elk is still recovering from the storm Helene, and the upper rooms in the Lodge were being renovated, which might explain the somewhat lower rate. We liked that friendly staff was at the reception 24 h - but not interested in fixing small things (lotion bottle completely broken, no coffee pods at the reception).
