Very good rooms and great service! If you want private rooms book ahead. They offer tours to Mount Ijen, Mount Bromo and many more! 5 mins walking distance from Ketapang port( they will buy the ferry ticket if you request) . For the Mount Ijen tour they gave us a lovely breakfast all included for 350k. Would definitely recommend!

i booked a bunk bed but was offered a private room for one person with fan, which I found was very nice of the staff. They also offer laundry service.

i got upgrade for the room and stayed alone even though i book room with 4 beds, after a long train trip it was a perfect all ways, location only 2 min from train station and 7 min from ferry, staff very friendly, helpful and speaks great English, price for tours were great , they even have boat to and from Lombok that is a deal breaker too, with i knew it earlier and stayed here before far from down town by walk , easy by grab , it is there and it is working

Like many, I got off at the WRONG TRAIN STOP. It was never made clear enough to me which stop is the correct one for Ijen hostel. That information should be sent to everyone who books.

Great location, just a blink of an eye to Ketapang Station, and arrange hike to Mt Ijen and other destination. Meet a lot of people there, so funn!

Close to port Unclean toilets, broken shower heads and using dish washing soap as body soap, poor staff communication. Overpromised and underdelivered!!! Told me that they will book transport to and from bromo for 200k each way for 2 people prior to booking. After stay completed, changed price once i was already in bromo, at the last minute. No value of their word. Told me they will help scooter rental, again lies - told to meet with a rental agency in Banyuwangi. Its cheap and beds were okay - for a short stay but sheets were unclean as well. Staff are clueless of discussions with booking staff, but sit at the reception and create a mess!!! Don’t book their tour!!!

We had a great time at this hostel. The staff was very kind and helpful. We booked the Bromo tour through them and it was great as well! They offered breakfast upon our arrival. The hostel is close to the port, many restaurants and even the train station! Our bedroom was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Ijen tour was great. Easy to book, and there's a clinic nearby to get the medical certificate. Close to the ferry dock, so easy to stay at coming/going from Bali. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast after the Ijen tour was delicious. A bunch of very cute cats outside. Free coffee and tea. The air-con in room 3 seemed quite weak. I could see it was set to 16, but it struggled to cool the room until very late at night, so it was warm and stuffy. Showers only have a single tap, which has hot water. Together, it limited options to cool down after Ijen and/or during the day.

Handy location, easy to walk to from the ferry. There is very little around and nowhere to get food so we were hungry! (Didn’t want to risk eating street food) They organised the ijen tour which was fantastic! However we also booked the Bromo package with them and I DO NOT recommend. It was awful! Terrible value for money, horrible driver, felt very unsafe and the honestly they arranged was so bad with blood on bedsheets.
