room/bed was not comportable breakfast was good location was great beds are terrible

The hotel was a short walk to everything - and anything it wasn't was accessible from the trains. The pool on the roof was pretty spectacular and refreshing on the very hot days of Summer. Staff were very accommodating. There is a lot of construction going on and many homeless. It was hard to get to and from the hotel without being followed or addressed. Before dark it wasn't so bad.

Location, cleanliness and felt safe Staff were unfriendly! The check in agent helped the man check in before me with exceptional enthusiasm and when I, a single female, checked in he barely acknowledged me and didn’t tell me anything about the facility. I only knew about the pool, fitness area and how to access dining and surrounding area because I overheard him telling the man who checked in before me. The entire front desk staff did not even say hello or offer any greetings or kindness.

We did not receive the room we booked. we could hear people vomiting violently right outside our window many times. there was a woman screaming and violent fighting most of the night. I didn't sleep either night we were there.

Locatiopn was great only a couple of hundred meters from La ramblas. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. In particular Sonia and Fatima. Credit to the hotel. Tea and Coffee facilitaies in the room. However I understand that these can be requested.

I didn’t enjoy the neighboring buildings.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was very nice and clean. location was great.

Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was just okay. Could have had higher quality food and more selection. Bathroom and toilet were initially not clean when we checked into our room, so they had to clean it again. Felt that the location was good, but it was a somewhat bad neighborhood. I’m not sure how safe I felt if I weren’t walking with others.

Location awesome. Breakfast spread terrific. Nothing

Breakfast was excellent, and very good value. No floor ice machine, and no mini bar fridge.
-
No shelving in bathroom for toiletries and exposed closet.

I had read earlier reviews stating the hotel would let guests leave luggage if arriving before check-in time. We left our cruise ship, arrived at the hotel, made this request and, after checking the schedule, was told by Tome and Javi at the reception desk that it was our lucky day -- a room was available and we were allowed to check in hours ahead of time. The room was clean, with large windows (and light-blocking drapes), had space for luggage, included a table, chairs, bench seat, a safe. We left luggage in the room, and Tome advised us how best to travel to a specific (and less-touristed) museum my husband asked about. The next two mornings, breakfast was lovely and diverse -- savory and sweet, fresh fruits, juices, coffees -- and in an attractive and open dining space. The morning we checked out, I asked Paola if my husband's plan for traveling by public transportation to the airport was crazy. She smiled, said, "Just a little," and then explained a simpler way -- taking Metro all the way to the airport. (It worked great!) Throughout our visit to Barcelona, people we encountered were both helpful and kind. This began and wrapped up for us with people at the Andante Drassanes.

Great location. Good breakfast. The hotel is clean, but the rooms are very basic. Bed is just ok. No Kleenex, no washcloths. Little things make a difference.

There was an issue with the cleanliness of my room - the manager right away addressed it and made adjustments for me, fantastic communication and adjustments! I appreciated that a lot, ended up with a nice, clean room. As a solo-traveling woman, be aware that the area surrounding the hotel can be a little scary at night - take an Uber. Hotel itself super safe, just the surroundings need to be considered.
