Very nice hotel, great location in center, breakfast was amazing, staff excellent, clean rooms, nice design.

Cleanliness and location Nothing

Staff provided complementary late checkout to make up for an air conditioning problem. Room 212 smelled like soap and possibly urine. (Room 210 had the same problem but with an even more pronounced urine-like odor. A third room they showed me smelled like an explosion in a cologne and/or perfume factory.) The bed sagged. Air conditioning stopped working during a heat wave for the entire second floor. The bathroom door scraped against the tile floor, preventing the door from being opened fully and leaving gouge marks on the tile. The toilet paper dispenser was attached to the back wall rather than a side wall, forcing me to severely twist my body to grab the toilet paper from behind me. The shower had a short glass bath screen, leaving much of the bathroom exposed to stray water from the shower. I had to repeatedly tighten the handheld showerhead to prevent water from escaping from its screw base. The room was partially carpeted, which has the potential to harbor filth. Modern hotels should not have any carpet in the hotel rooms. Check-in was strangely slow and also required me to provide information that Booking.com had already provided to them. I had to tap on a touchscreen to enter information that they had already been provided by Booking.com. It is neither my job to make up for the lack of sufficient technological integration with Booking.com, nor is it my job to provide data-entry services to the front desk staff so that they don't have to enter the data themselves. The lobby's motion-sensing door was hyperactive, such that I had to be careful where I stood near the front desk to prevent triggering the motion sensor. The taxes imposed exceeded the expected taxes mentioned on Booking.com. Corporate management should first secretly visit this lobby to observe how inefficient check-in is, and then they should survey all the rooms to correct the hotel's lack of attention to detail and common sense.

The location of this hotel is great you are in the middle of everything, and only a 30 minute walk to the sagrada familia. The room was great nice washroom and very comfortable. The breakfast on the other hand if you want hot food you have to be there by 6:30 as it is put out on a regular pan not a heated pan. The rest of the breakfast was great. I loved the out door sitting area where I could go for a nice cognac and a Cuban cigar without offending anyone. The staff were super helpful and friendly. They helped us and directed us to really nice restaurants' that we could travel to by foot. Just a great stay. The fact that the hot breakfast did not stay hot as it was not put in warming trays so the hot food got cold very quickly. But the cold breakfast items were adequate.

Location was excellent in the heart of Barcelona. All sights could be reached by foot. The rooms are not very big, however they are very smartly decorated and organised in a way that allows you to fit all your things easily. Despite its location in the very centre of Barcelona, the walls are extremely soundproof and you can barely hear any noise coming from outside. Breakfast was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay again in Room Mate Pau in our next visit to Barcelona. Everything as great.

The breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast staff were amazing — so kind, friendly, attentive, and always smiling. The reception team was also wonderful, welcoming, helpful, and professional. The location is perfect and very central, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome and for giving us such a great experience. The location was convenient and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The room was tiny.

The location and breakfast were great, and the staff was very polite and friendly. We first met Sergiu when we checked out on August 12, and it was a lovely surprise to be warmly welcomed back by him when we returned to Barcelona on August 14. His warm and friendly welcome made our return to the hotel feel even more special. We really enjoyed our stay! n/a

Perfect location. Next to the largest department store and a really short walk to the airport bus. Breakfast was also pretty good. The bed was too soft. The shower was just partially enclosed so the bathroom floor would always get wet after a shower.

Location was fantastic ideal for exploring the centre. The team in the hotel couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming - really made a difference! Shall definitely return. Loved everything!

Location is perfect. Everything is in walking distance Cosy terrace to spend time during breakfast and coffee time The cleaning can be better. The bedsheets weren’t change during the 7 days of our stay
