Nice location close to public transport, balcony room was very nice! Had some issue but the manager got it all sorted for us! Appreciate it wasn’t really the hotels fault and the manager was great! Our first room was a basic one and the ceiling leaked (not the hotels fault) but they did take over an hour to move us to another room which was abit annoying early in the morning being very tired (they did upgrade us to a balcony which is very much appreciated with a free bottle of prosecco) so they definitely got the issue rectified in the end

The pool was lovely, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotels ice machine broke and they were charging guests for ice. I think that’s terrible. It’s not the guests fault that the ice machine broke. The fridges aren’t cold & the cleaners turn off the air conditioning when cleaning which is a pain.

On one of the hottest afternoons (June 22) in Barcelona, we arrived at Grupotel Gran Via 678, jetlagged and thirsty, having walked from the Catalonia City Center after getting off the airport express bus. The first thing the front desk agent said to us was, “Would you like a glass of cold water?” We had a fantastic 3-day stay at this exceptionally clean hotel with awesome breakfast bars attended by a group of meticulous staff and cooks. When in the wee hours of the morning on the day we were heading to Barcelona-Sants, the breakfast bars were not yet open. But without any hesitation, the front desk agent let us into the restaurant and gave us a box to take what we needed for the road.

It was so clean, and even the rooms were very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, with an open shower that also had plenty of space. Everything felt comfortable and well looked after. The breakfast wasn’t very nice, so I’m glad I didn’t book a full package with the hotel, as I had some hesitation about the breakfast. Unfortunately, my breakfast experience wasn’t great, so I ended up trying some nearby breakfast places instead. Thankfully, there were some brilliant options nearby, such as The Egg Lab.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location near Passeig de Gràcia and metro stations. The breakfast was exceptional.

Breakfast was excellent .We took public transport to go around Barcelona . Reception staff was friendly ,professional and helpful. Did not use the restaurant as it was empty and you have a choice of restaurants in town.Would avoid the Café d'En Victor near the square serving terrible unsafe food to tourists.
