Hostal Fernando

It was so good. The staff was so nice and they knew english very well, we got along so easily. The room was cleaned everyday we came back to the hotel. They changed towels daily and there was an A/C. The location was great it was 5 mins of walk to the both subway stations and other touristic attractions. So shortly it was great.?

Great location in the Gothic Quarter with shops and restaurants and beautiful architecture in every direction. A lovely, basic room with a view of the church and a balcony. Great shower and comfortable beds. Air con was brilliant. The food in the attached restaurant - our poorest meal of the whole stay. You get a 10% discount card but I would recommend you don’t use it. There are loads of delicious meals in great restaurants just a minutes walk away.

Super limpio, bonito, agradable y una ubicación increíble. Y nos trataron super bien, hicimos check-in mas temprano y a la hora de irnos nos buscaron un taxi.

Tiny shower, no place to hang your clothes in the shower, no refrigerator or even a kettle... So no coffee or cold water... Noise isolation is bed, you hear everything from the coridor and other apartments, and there is a church right in front of the apartment so you hear the bells ringing...

Great location. Was worried about the term “hostel”. The room was just like a hotel room, not a hostel in the US. The bathroom door was a concern. I was traveling with my son. We considered bringing a friend as well. The door would not have been conducive for a friend to be in the room and both my son and I would have preferred a solid door.

They charged a lot of money, but the service and cleanliness were terrible. The toilets were never cleaned when we arrived in our rooms. Toilet paper wasn't replenished for two days after it ran out. The location, and the air conditioning and private bathroom!

Great location in the Ramblas area. Good breakfast! The afternoon/evening attendant was not very friendly. The hostel is pricey, but this the going price for a decent location in this area of Barcelona.

This was a very central location, which at times felt a little hectic. The room was perfect for my needs and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a very nice, although extra but reasonable charge. Despite the property being in a busy area, it was not noisy at all. While convenient to 2 metro stations and very walkable, this was in too busy of a location for my personal taste. When I return to Barcelona I would opt to stay a bit further out from La Ramblas. Going out for a coffee or evening walk felt crushing at times.

Excellent location. Clean, great breakfast for the value and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend and would stay there again on a next opportunity.

A bit noisy

The WiFi was horrible. Room very small for two people

The folks at the desk were kind and helpful. The room was comfortable, and the location was perfect. There was a good bit of street noise, but we loved our little balcony and view

Probably the noise from outside, but that’s out of hostal’s control. We knew it would be a bit noisy but we still loved it.

Had a special request for the room overlooking the cathedral, they made sure we got that room! :)

Modern design, newly renovated, clean, and a storage locker was a bonus! USB ports in business center didn’t work, and there were no adapter in rooms, so I could only charge devices in the universal plug in business center with one plug I brought, instead of using the many nonfunctional usb ports.

Excellent location and the staff were super helpful and freindly.
