May Ramblas Barcelona

Room was clean and comfortable, great value for the price we paid

No breakfast option

It was cheaper than a lot of options and I didn’t get bed bugs. Decent location a little off Las Ramblas, so not very loud. Staff was easy to talk with and nice enough. You can see cathedral and Sagrada Família from the shared patio area on the top floor but there was no where to sit up there. My neck pillow for flying “disappeared” somehow, and there was mold and hair from previous occupants in the bathroom. Tiny room. Tbh booking.com misrepresents this place. It doesn’t show the star level or review average in a prominent place.

The location and the access to different modes of transportation and sights was really good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was no tissue and toilet brush in the room and when we ask for a toilet brush they gave us a used one! Not only you could see it was used you could smell it too!

AC was broken in 2 rooms out of 4 that we booked and they couldn’t tell us when it will start working again, mind you this is June 2, 2026 HOT in Barcelona ! We had to find a new hotel immediately for 2 rooms which cost us another $800 that same day. The 2 rooms at MAY RAMBLAS HOTEL cost us $1200 and they REFUSE TO REFUND US but only offer 20% off for future reservation WTH!..some of the rooms their rooms have mold in the shower floor and walls…there was about 4 other patrons (4 more different rooms) that didn’t have AC in their rooms also!!!

The staff especially at the reception were very helpful and friendly, they understood and spoke good English as well. The hotel was in the middle of the Ramblas street making it easy to access everywhere. The room was cleaned daily with new towels and made bed sheets. The WiFi worked well. The AC had some problems at first but it was easily solved by working on the power fuse box in the room

Great location in Gothic Quarter and right on Ramblas, from our window we could see Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi, which was a beautiful touch. It seemed like the hotel shares a "hallway" at reception with the restaurants next to it and you can definitely smell all the food throughout the hotel. The body wash/shampoo provided did not smell good at all - we did not use. The towels provided were not absorbent at all. Our bathroom door was being held together by duct tape.

Location are perfect, in the middle of la rambla, tourism area and just right in front of liceu metro station.

The staff were excellent and extremely knowledgeable and helpful and helping us getting around. The hotel not up to expectations for the price. The towels were threadbare

Staff was so amazing and greeted us as soon as we arrived. Location was alright. There was some construction outside but it didn’t hinder the noise at night.

Location. Location. Location. Very very small room. Not good for people who are scared of small spaces. Very little air. One very small window.

The hotel is very near to the metro and tourist places. The rooms are compact but still very neat and comfortable.

Location is good. Very near La bouqueria, Plaza Catalunya and other places of intersest There was a foul, fishy smell from the lobby all the way to the lift. Probably because they share the ground floor with a restaurant on the side and at the back. There was no proper lobby and no common area for guests. One specific cleaner with long, curly hair was on headset while cleaning thus you can hear her voice in the room since she’s always on a call while cleaning. Stayed for 7 nights and we experienced this everyday. The towels are thin and non absorbent.
