Hotel Barolo

We loved that everything was in one location. We ate at the restaurant for all of our meals and the food was excellent. We had a wine tasting and tour the first afternoon of our stay. The hotel staff could communicate with us easily and provided many good suggestions. I would stay at this hotel again. Nothing. Everything was great.

The views from the room and terrace of vineyards and Barolo were amazing. Dinner at the hotel was excellent.

Location and views were wonderful. The pool was a lovely place to relax and sunbathe. The staff are very kind and helpful and the food at the restaurant was very good. I was informed when I checked in that my room did not have air conditioning and if I wanted air conditioning I would have to pay an extra 40 euro.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Both at reception and during breakfast, staff seemed sparse and unwilling to help. When assistance was needed, they gave the impression of being forced to help or were trying to do the bare minimum. This lack of warmth and efficiency significantly dampened the experience, especially given that good service is crucial in a hotel of this caliber and in Italy, where friendliness is typically excellent. For a hotel that isn't cheap, this crucial aspect of service cannot be overlooked.

Good location We were disappointed to find that the swimming pool and terrace were unavailable during our stay. Unfortunately, this was not communicated to us prior to our arrival, which affected our overall experience.

The hotel restaruant was nice. Food was well prepared and service was outstanding. This is a nice Hotel in a great location. The hotel is well kept but quite old. The rooms and facitities are very out of date. The lady at check out was quite rude. I asked for a receipt for the 3 rooms I booked and she told my the hotel does not givw receipts and that I would have to get it feom booking.com. i have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and have never been exposed ro a hotel that cannot/will not provide you qith a bill. Big time B/S and the lady was not nice in her response...like I was the dummy for ever asking for something so stupid.

Rooms are a bit outdated, bathrooms could be renovated but still comfortable.

Fantastic hotel. Great views over the vineyards and town. Great location. Staff were friendly and kind. Pool added bonus with the summer heat. Great wine tasting too. Can’t fault this place at all and plan to return No negative comments.

Picturesque location No air conditioning

A gem. We were here last year too. A charming family run hotel in Barolo. Beautiful location set among the vineyards with a fantastic view over the village of Barolo and the castle. They are so friendly and welcoming and the hotel has a very warm feeling. An elevated terrace to enjoy a glass of wine with a view. A terrace adjoining the breakfast room so you can sit outside. The wine cellar is extensive, I can only recommend you take the tour. The rooms are comfortable, nothing too fancy. Practical, clean and typical for the style of the region. Our room had a balcony overlooking the vineyards. There are two houses. I personally prefer the Barolo Classico as the room height is more generous and allows for cooler room temperature. Breakfast is plentiful with fresh products and good bread. We also dined at the restaurant which is also highly recommendable. I would come back here anytime and am looking forward to my next visit. All good

A comfortable room that included a sofa and coffee table. A comfortable bed. The bathroom was fitted with a spa bath and all the necessary utilities were included. Good breakfast. We had a lovely view of the town of Barolo from our windows. Just a couple of minutes on foot from the centre. Lots of parking space. The bed cover doubled as a light duvet, our washbasin piping leaked and the pedal of the pedal bin was broken. We were meant to have a balcony, but didn't.
