Great location. Excellent staff. Ground level room was nice with doors that opened to the garden. Breakfast was good and service even better. Restaurant was booked. Make reservations with your booking and not after you arrive.

The best thing about the property is the courtyard and restaurant — very nice setting and menu and service. The hotel itself feels a bit Soviet in atmosphere. The hotel feels a bit Soviet in decor and ambiance. While the manager and receptionist tried to be helpful, they seemed defensive and prickly. One can’t walk to town from the hotel because the highway doesnt have a sidewalk. I left my passport, I did not check out (though I had inquired about that possibility but was told it wasn’t possible), and left the Do Not Disturb sign tied firmly to my door. The housekeeping entered anyway, endangering my money and jewelry while I was gone for the day. Nothing was taken, but the management claimed it was my fault instead of understanding how unsettling this was. I didn’t want anyone in my room! They knew I hadn’t checked out because they’d gotten no notification, no key, and still had my passport! Also, the big glass doors to the back halls of the hotel are left unlocked until after-hours, also unsettling since I was a woman traveling alone.
