Jingshan Garden Hotel

The property was lovely and it is right next to Jingshan Park and also The Forbidden City. The beds were very comfortable and overall the rooms were awesome. The staff was great, Sunny and Sherri (hope I spelled that right) were a great help. Also the over night guy was extremely helpful with helping me out with food etc. I would definitely stay here again.

I returned to Jingshan since last year I loved it. I was not disappointed this time either. Great location, beautiful rooms, old time atmosphere, super helpful and friendly personnel. The location, so close to the Forbidden City, is incredible. I liked everything

The people were very accommodating and helped us with various things. Our toilet didn’t work sometimes but they fixed it quickly.

The hotel is very charming and well located in Beijing. The staff is very friendly, smiling and helpful. This is a paceful place in the heart of the city. Not far away from the Forbidden City and nearby the Jingshan park. The breakfast must be urgently improved. Really not good, basic, and not at the right level considering the most of the guests come from abroad - mainly from Europe, and regarding the cost of the night.

Room was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Comfy beds and hot shower. Staff were excellent -- very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond. Hotel is located at the edge of a hutong, very close to Jingshan Garden (as the name suggests) and within walking distance of the Hidden City. A nice, quiet courtyard, lined with artwork and sitting areas, with a wine bar nearby. Breakfast was adequate but not wonderful. There weren't a ton of restaurants close by, as it is a nice quiet area, but plenty of options within a very short cab ride's distance. I have no real complaints! My expectations were met!

A really charming and original hotel, calm and peaceful yet within walking distance of the Forbidden City and other sights. The beds and room were comfortable, luxurious in a low-key way. We were there in midwinter and the room was beautifully warm. It would be wonderful to sit out in the courtyard in warmer weather. The Chinese breakfasts were lovely, though it was hard to convey the needs of a vegetarian. The location on a narrow hutong was difficult for pick-up for some tours we did. The hotel gave us directions for drivers but some still found it confusing.

Wonderful place. Unique room. Delicious breakfast with amazing view. Front desk staff was excellent and helpful in many ways, helped arrange transport to tourist site and airport. Highly recommended for a unique experience and great location and helpful staff. All good.

There are many really wonderful things about this hotel. The proximity to Jingshan Park (less than two minute walk) and historic Beijing is really special. It’s located in a Hutong and honestly the best location for a hotel in Beijing to be. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They helped me out with a series of things and were genuinely kind and hospitable. The biggest thing that prevents this hotel from being a 10/10 for me is the comfort of the rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious and nice. But there is little privacy. No sound barrier from the outside, you can hear and see everything, including the music from the restaurant that plays until 10pm. It’s also important to note that the beds were truly unbelievably hard. I’m shocked more reviews aren’t commenting on this. I’ve never encountered such a hard mattress, and I couldn’t get any sleep. The hotel is located in a tricky spot for taxis to find, and is about 20-25 minute walk from any restaurants, other than the hotel restaurant.

This is a real gem! Jingshan Garden hotel is a magnificent intimate place just across from Jingshan Garden and a few steps away from the Forbidden City. For those travelers who want ti experience the real deal, choose this hotel. Classy and elegant, with super helpful staff, a good breakfast in the morning (choose between American, European, and Chinese), and a restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The rooms are elegant and well equipped, with a basket of fruits replenished every three days. I cannot say enough of the wonderful staff. All of them made my stay easy and pleasant. I totally recommend this hotel! —-

This small, quaint hotel has character, I loved the look of this historic property and rooms, but it has modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The restaurant is very good! They offer 3 paid breakfast options, continental, North American & Chinese. We ate dinner there twice. The front desk staff are helpful and good natured. Location is great - we walked to local attractions and shopping. The wifi was not great at all. But I’m at another larger hotel now in Beijing and it seems the same.
