The architecture is charming and living in an old style villa is fun. The location is also good if you want to be near restaurants and cultural artifacts. the staff tried hard to make the stay exceptional. The room was uncomfortable, especially for older adults. The walkways and courtyard are not accessible if you have difficulty walking, have a lot of luggage, or need a wheel chair to get around. The bathroom gives no handles or hold-bars to help you get off the toilet or grip while showering. The bed is a platform with hard wooden edges that make it difficult to get into or out of without hurting your knees or attempting gymnastics. All in all it was an uncomfortable experience even though it was somewhat intriguing. Taxis/UBERS are only available at remote corners of the property offering long walks to get to or from property..

Loved everything, the hotel really embraced the tradition Beijing Hutong architecture without over modernize it but it has everything we need. A very equipped hotel and very helpful staff! Highly recommended! The only downside is no cars is allowed in front of the hotel but it is also what added to the charm. Staff is available to help whenever you reach out to them.
